Hi! My name is Emma and I'm in 5th grade. Today I want to tell you all about the saying "Green hills and clear waters are gold and silver hills." It's a famous quote in China that means protecting the environment is just as valuable as making money.
I think it's a really important idea that everyone should understand.
Our planet Earth is incredible and amazing. It has huge mountains, deep oceans, thick forests, and wide-open plains. All of these different environments have their own special animals, plants, air, and water that make them unique. The animals and plants couldn't survive without the right conditions like clean water, fresh air, and safe habitats to live in.s need a healthy environment too in order to be healthy ourselves. We need clean drinking water, fresh air to breathe, and safe places to live away from pollution and contamination. If the environment gets too dirty or damaged, it can make people very sick. That's why taking good care of the environment is so crucial.
The saying "Green hills and clear waters are gold and silver hills" highlights how important and valuable a healthy
environment is. Green hills refers to lush, fertile landscapes with flourishing plant and animal life. Clear waters means the rivers, lakes, and oceans have pure, unpolluted water flowing through them. These pristine natural settings are just as precious as gold and silver.
In China and many other countries, protecting the environment hasn't always been a top priority. As countries industrialized and modernized over the last century, they often damaged the environment through practices like:
