Hello everyone! Today I'm going to tell you about the listening materials from Unit 6 of the People's Education Edition Grade 8 English textbook.
In the first listening exercise, we have to listen to a conversation between two friends, Lily and Tom. They are planning a trip to the beach. Lily suggests taking a bus, but Tom wants to go by bike. They finally decide to walk there. It's so fun to listen to their conversation and see how they make a decision together.
In the second listening exercise, we have to listen to a girl named Emily talking about her summer vacation. She went to a summer camp and had a great time. She made new friends, tried different activities, and learned a lot of new things. It's so cool to hear about all the fun things she did during her vacation.
In the third listening exercise, we have to listen to a weather report. The weatherman says that it's going to be sunny and hot this weekend. So we should remember to wear sunscreen and
drink lots of water if we are going out. It's important to stay safe and healthy in the hot weather.

Ah~ I have to write a super long article like those in the eighth grade English textbook for the sixth unit listening material. This is gonna be fun!
Alright, so in the listening material for this unit, we learned about different kinds of festivals from around the world. It was so cool to hear about all the traditions and celebrations people have in different countries.
One festival that we learned about was the Day of the Dead in Mexico. It's a festival where people remember and honor their loved ones who have passed away. They build altars with pictures and favorite foods of the deceased, and they even have parades with music and dancing. It sounds like a really special way to remember those who have passed on.
Another festival we learned about was Chinese New Year. It's a time for families to get together and celebrate the coming year. They have big feasts, give out red envelopes with money inside, and light firecrackers to scare away evil spirits. It sounds like so much fun!
I also found out about the Running of the Bulls in Spain. It's a crazy festival where people run through the streets with bulls running behind them. It sounds super scary and exciting at the same time!
I had so much fun learning about all these festivals from around the world. It's like you can travel to different places without ever leaving your classroom. I can't wait to hear about more festivals in the next unit!

Unit 6, Lesson 1
Hi everyone! Today we had our English listening activity in class, and it was so much fun! Our teacher played some recordings for us to listen to, and we had to answer some questions about them. It was a little tricky at first, but we all tried our best. Let me tell you all about it!
The first recording was about a girl named Lucy talking about her hobbies. She said she likes drawing, playing basketball, and watching movies. She also mentioned that she doesn't like cooking or gardening. We had to answer some questions about what Lucy likes and doesn't like to do in her free time. I think I got most of them right!
The second recording was a conversation between two friends, Tom and Mary. They were talking about their plans for the weekend. Tom wanted to go to the park and have a picnic, while Mary wanted to stay home and watch TV. They couldn't decide what to do, so they decided to ask their other friends for suggestions. We had to answer some questions about where Tom and Mary wanted to go on the weekend. I think I got them all right this time!
Overall, the listening activity was really fun, and I think I did pretty well. I can't wait for our next English lesson!
