Christopher Columbus is believed to be the
discoverer of America. He was an Italian and was financed by the Spanish Queen to find a sea route to India. In 1492, he sailed west from Spain in search of a sea route directly to India, but he failed to reach his destination and he found America instead. How ever, he believed he had reached India and called the natives on this land Indians.

Washington D.C. is the capital city of the country. the total size of the USA is 9.4 million square km, which makes it the 4th largest country in the world. Bordering 3 oceans and the Mexican gulf, the US has a long coastline of about 20,000 km and it is one of the countries with long coastlines in the world. it is situated in the south of North America and it has 2 neighboring countries, Canada from the North and Mexico from the South.
