M: Did she say that I was a naughty boy?
W: Oh, yeah, and you were smart, too.
M: When I left, you were just a little girl.
W: Look, I have to greet those friends. Make yourself at home.
M: Thanks, I will.

W: Excuse me, Ben. May I ask you some questions?
M: Yes, sure.
W: Where were you between 6 and 10 last night?
M: I went to see a film with Lucy.
W: Where did you meet her?
M: We met at the gate of the cinema.
W: But Lucy said you met her in her house. Then which cinema did you go to and what was the name of the film?
M: Xinhua Cinema. The name of the film was “Titanic”.
W: Was the cinema full or empty and where did you sit?
M: It was empty and we sat at the front.
W: But what you said is not the same as what Lucy said. One of you must be telling a lie.

W: Hello. This is Airport Ticket Office. May I help you?
M: Hello. Can I fly to Paris tomorrow?
W: Let me have a look. Er, OK. We’ll have a Boeing 868 leaving at 10 o’clock tomorrow morning.
M: And what’s the flight number, please?
W: CA2556.
M: How much is the ticket?
W: It’s 500 dollars.
M: When should I get to the airport?
W: Please be there by a quarter to 10 at least. The gate will be closed at that time.
M: All right. May I book a ticket now, please?
W: Sure. By the way, could I have your name, please?
