My Dreams of Going to University!
Hi there! My name is Timmy and I'm 10 years old. I absolutely love learning new things every day in school. My favorite subjects are math, science, and reading. I think about what it will be like when I'm older and go to university almost every day!
I can't wait until I'm a university student. I've heard so many amazing things about it from my older cousins and even from movies and TV shows. It seems like the biggest adventure of getting to learn and explore so much cool stuff!
First off, I'm really excited about living in the dorms on campus. From what I've seen, the dorm rooms are kind of like having your own little apartment, but you share it with another student called your roommate. That will be fun to have someone to hang out with and maybe we can become best friends! The dorms also have big common areas like lounges and recreation
rooms where all the students can socialize. I bet there will be so many interesting people from all over the world to meet.
I've heard the dining halls at universities are amazing too. Basically it's like a huge restaurant buffet that's open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner every single day. You can go get food anytime you're hungry and there's always a huge variety to choose from. My mouth waters just thinking about having access to endless pizzas, burgers, pastas, ethnic cuisines, and desserts galore! No more Plain Jane sandwiches from mom for lunch.
The professors seem like such brilliant and passionate people too. Instead of just teaching to teach, they are experts who have dedicated their whole careers to deeply understanding their fields through research and applied work. I can't wait to learn directly from the world's foremost luminaries and have thought-provoking discussions with them about the boundaries of human knowledge.
I also dream about getting involved with awesome clubs, sports teams, volunteer groups, and all the other extracurricular activities that universities have. I'd love to join an improv comedy troupe, take swing dancing lessons, write for the student newspaper, compete on the wrestling team, learn to code by joining a hackathon club, and help out with community service
efforts. The opportunities to discover new interests and develop a diversity of skills seem endless!
I can't wait to experience the epic parties and social life of being a university student too! I've heard the tales of awesome themed frat parties, concerts, camping trips, sports tailgates, and so much more. Staying up until dawn playing board games or video games and building life-long friendships with a diverse crew of people from all walks of life. Those sound like the types of crazy fun memories that you'll reminisce over for years and years. Although, not gonna lie, I'm a little wary of all the horror stories about having to pull occasional all-nighters to cram for exams and endless cups of coffee to stay awake and coherent. Hopefully I can learn some elite time management skills to avoid that!

My Dream of Going to University
Hi there! My name is Emma and I'm 10 years old. I absolutely love learning new things and can't wait until I'm older so I can go to university! I've been dreaming about what it will be like ever since I was a little kid. Let me tell you all about my big dreams for the future!
First of all, I'm really excited to live in the dorms at university. I've seen pictures and it looks like so much fun! You get your very own tiny room all to yourself, with just a small bed and a desk. But the best part is you'll be living right there with all your friends. We can stay up late every night talking, laughing, and eating snacks from the vending machines down the hall. On the weekends, we can have pizza parties in the common rooms! I hope I get a roommate who is really nice and neat though. I wouldn't want someone who is messy and loud when I'm trying to study.
Speaking of studying, that's what I'm most excited about when it comes to university - learning so many new interesting things! In elementary school, we've only scratched the surface on all the different subjects out there. But at university, you get to dive deep into specialized topics that fascinate you. Maybe I'll major in something like marine biology so I can learn all about the amazing animals that live in the oceans. Or perhaps I'll study
aerospace engineering to figure out how planes and rockets can fly. Ooh or maybe even become an expert in ancient civilizations like the Egyptians and Mayans! I can't wait to attend thought-provoking lectures every day, where hundreds of students and I will discuss deep philosophical questions. I'll be frantically writing notes trying to absorb all the profound wisdom and insights from the professors. Then I'll spend long nights at the library poring over huge stacks of books, determined to learn everything there is to know on the subject. I'll write dozens of research papers laying out my most brilliant theories and evidence. It will be such an intellectual challenge, but I live for that kind of stuff!
University life will be loads of fun too though - it's not all work and no play! I'll join all sorts of clubs and organizations to meet people with shared interests. Maybe I'll be part of the debate team, using logic and quick thinking to outwit the opponents. Or I could write for the school newspaper, uncovering the truth and delivering the latest news to my fellow students. There are always lots of fun events on campus too, like
outdoor movie nights, music concerts, art shows, and more. My friends and I will go cheer on the university's sports teams at the big sporting events. Oh and I can't forget about the legendary uni parties! Though I'll probably have to wait until I'm a bit older to experience those.
After four years of intense studying, growth, and making lifelong friends, I'll finally get to walk across the huge stage at my graduation ceremony. As I'm handed my diploma, I'll feel such an enormous sense of pride in everything I've accomplished. My family will be seated in the crowd, cheering louder than anyone with tears of joy in their eyes. All those late nights, endless assignments, and mind-bending exams will have finally paid off. I'll have a shiny new degree that will allow me to pursue my dream career and change the world!
Those are just some of the reasons why I can't wait to experience university life for myself one day. It's going to be challenging for sure, pushing me to my limits both mentally and socially. But I know through hard work and determination, it will all be worth it in the end. University will prepare me for the real world and open up opportunities I can hardly even imagine yet. My Dream of Going to College
Hi there! My name is Emily and I'm 10 years old. I'm in the 5th grade at Maple Elementary School. Today I want to tell you all about my big dream of going to college someday!
Ever since I was a little kid, I've always loved learning new things. I'm curious about everything - science, math, reading, art, you name it! Whenever we learn about something new and interesting in school, I get so excited. I can't wait to raise my hand and ask the teacher a million questions.
That's why I know that college is going to be the best place ever for me. From what I understand, college is like one giant classroom where you can study any subject you want, as much as you want! How cool is that? No more having to follow along with the same boring topics as everyone else. In college, you get to choose your own classes based on what fascinates you the most.
My older cousin Jake is a sophomore in college right now, and whenever he comes home for breaks, I always beg him to tell
me all about it. College sounds like a total blast! He tells me about the huge libraries they have full of every book you could ever imagine. And labs with incredible equipment to run experiments and make discoveries. Professors who are super geniuses that know absolutely everything about their subject. So many interesting classes with crazy topics like analyzing fantasy novels, or learning about black holes and galaxies, or the history of medieval castles. Sign me up!
The best part of college though is getting to choose what you want to learn about and work towards your dream job. I've had a million ideas for what I want to be when I grow up - a scientist finding cures for diseases, an archaeologist digging up dinosaur bones, a famous artist with my paintings in museums, a writer telling epic stories. In college, I'll finally get to start on the path towards making one of those dreams a reality. I'll take all the classes I need to learn everything there is to know about that field. College is where you start turning your childhood dreams into real life!
Jake has already warned me that I'll be eating lots of ramen noodles and going broke from buying expensive textbooks. Yuck! That doesn't sound like much fun. But hey, a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do to get her degree, right? I'll just have to get a job
on campus to earn some extra spending money for the good food and fun stuff. Maybe I could be a tour guide showing future students around the place I've fallen in love with.
More than anything, I'm just so excited for the total freedom and independence you get at college. No more being treated like a kid who can't do anything! At college, I'll finally be in control of my own life. I'll decide what classes I take, what activities I do after school, what time I go to bed. No more of Mom's early curfews or having to beg to sleep over at a friend's house. Of course, I'll still call her every week because I love her to death. First off, I'm super excited to learn all kinds of new things in college. In elementary school, we learn basic reading, writing, math, science, and social studies. But in college, you get to dive really deep into almost any topic you can imagine! I want to study all the cool science subjects like physics, chemistry, biology, astronomy, and more. I'm fascinated by how the world works and can't wait to understand it on a deeper level.

In elementary school, the teachers tell us what subjects we have to take and when. But from what I understand, in college you get to build your own schedule around your interests and academic goals. Maybe I'll take a bunch of science classes one semester, and the next load up on history and literature courses. The freedom to design your own education journey sounds absolutely awesome.
I also can't wait to experience life on a college campus. Elementary school is nice, but it's the same brick building I've been going to for six years already. College campuses look like entire little cities, with residences, cafeterias, libraries, gyms, labs, performance spaces, and more! I'm really looking forward to living on my own in a dorm, making new friends from all over, and being part of that vibrant campus community. It will be like my own personal adventure beginning!
Speaking of dorms, I'm also ridiculously excited about the prospect of living away from my parents. Don't get me wrong, I love my mom and dad. But it will be awesome to have my own
space, make my own decisions, and not have anyone telling me when to go to bed or finish my broccoli. Of course, I'll still call them every week and come home for holidays and summer break. But I'll finally get a taste of that independent adult life I've been dreaming about.
Another major appeal of college for me is getting to join all kinds of awesome clubs and organizations. My elementary school has a few extracurriculars like student council, art club, and basketball. But I've heard college campuses have hundreds of teams, societies, and special interest groups for every hobby and passion. Last but not least, I'm really looking forward to the level of academic discussion and intellectual growth that happens at college. My Big Dreams for College Life

My Big Dreams for University Life

what my life will be like when I go to university. I can't wait until I'm old enough to go!
First of all, I'm really looking forward to living on my own in the dorms or student housing. It will be so exciting to have my own room and not have to share it with my little brother anymore. He's always making messes and being annoying. In my dorm room, I'll finally have my own space that's just for me. I can decorate it however I want and my parents can't tell me to clean it up! Well, I probably shouldn't make too much of a pigsty or the cleaning staff might get mad. But a few clothes on the floor won't hurt, right?
My room will have a comfy bed for sleeping in late on weekends and relaxing. I'll put up lots of cool posters of my favorite superhero movies, bands, and sports teams too. Oh, and I'll definitely need a mini-fridge to keep snacks and soda in. Maybe I'll even get a TV for watching movies and playing video games when I need a break from studying. Dorm life is going to be the best!

literature. At university, I'll get to take entire courses focused on just one topic and really become an expert!
For example, I really want to take an astronomy class and learn all about planets, stars, black holes, and other awesome things in outer space. I've always loved looking at the stars and galaxies. I'm also really excited for biology classes where I can study dinosaurs, animals, ecosystems, and evolution in-depth. Those are going to be my two favorite subjects for sure.
But I don't just want to take classes about things I already like. Part of the appeal of university is getting exposed to totally new topics too. I've never studied philosophy or gender studies before, but those could be really interesting electives to take. And although I'm horrible at art, maybe I'll try an introductory painting or pottery class just for fun. Keeping an open mind to explore new subjects is key.
I also can't wait to take classes taught by real professors who are experts in their fields. I'll get to learn from people who have Ph.D's and have done groundbreaking research themselves. How cool is that? My elementary school teachers are awesome, but having lecturers who are literally among the world's most knowledgeable people will be amazing. I'll finally be treated like a grownup who can engage with complex, advanced material.
Taking challenging classes is going to require a lot of hard work though. I'm ready for that! I'll have to spend lots of late nights in the library, reading through giant textbooks, typing up long essays, and studying for tough exams. It will be stressful at times, but also really rewarding as I push myself further than ever before. All that studying will pay off when I walk across the stage at graduation and get my diploma. My parents will be so proud.
Meeting new people from all over will be incredible too. In elementary school, I've pretty much only been around kids from my local area. But at university, I'll make friends with people from different cities, states, countries, cultures, and backgrounds.
