I remember when I heard about the Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 disappearance. It was all over the news for weeks and the uncertainty of what happened was unsettling. It made me think about how we take for granted the safety and reliability of air travel, and how quickly that can change.
Another incident that comes to mind is the Ethiopian Airlines Flight 302 crash in 2019. I had actually flown on the same model of plane just a few months prior to the
crash. It was a surreal feeling to think that something I had trusted my life with had failed so catastrophically.
Despite these tragedies, I still choose to fly because
I believe that the benefits outweigh the risks. It's important to remember that air travel is still one of the safest modes of transportation. However, it's also
important to demand accountability and transparency from airlines and regulatory bodies to ensure that safety
remains a top priority.
