MULTI-PRODUCT SINGLE METER CALIBRATION INSTRUCTIONS
It is imperative that the following instructions be very carefully observed. If we follow the instructions as indicated, your system will be able to resume normal operation when the calibration adjustments have been completed.
The only tools required are a standard flat head screw driver, and a very small flat head screw driver (jewelry style or equal). And a trouble light to see the switch settings inside the register.
SECTION ONE
1. We want the vehicle started and the MID:COM computer in the cab on its
“normal” pre-delivery screen. Select “GASOLINE” from line two on the computer.
2. Then we want to remove the register calibrator cover located on the front of the
register just below the display (2 slotted screws). On the back of this plate you will find a detailed diagram like the one attached, and a detailed listing of what the different switches are used for.
3. We have now exposed the calibration switches, (see attached diagram) these
are numbered from your left to your right 1 through 8 as you are looking at the registers
display.
4. Making double sure the computer in the cab of your truck is on “GASOLINE” .
5. With the very small slotted screw driver and the trouble light (so you can clearly
see the small arrows on the switches) we want to set the following switches to the following positions (point the little arrows to the following numbers).
Switch # 1 to Position 0
Switch # 2 to Position 4
Switch # 3 to Position 5
Switch # 4 to Position 8
Switches 5 & 6 do not require changes.
6. After setting the switches to the above values indicated, you now want to move
switch # 7 (toggle switch) from the centre or net position to the full left or gross position.
7. With switch # 7 (toggle) in the gross or left position, you now want to fully
depress switch # 8 (plunger reset). The register will now go through a reset and you will see the numbers 1 through 9 successively appear on your screen.
8. After the register has reset, you now want to move switch # 7 “back” to the
centre or “NET” position (“VERY IMPORTANT”)
9. We now want to manually reset the register by moving the # 7 toggle switch all
the way to the right, this position is spring loaded and will return to the center or net position. The register will now go through a reset and you will see the numbers 1 through 9 successively appear on your screen.
SECTION TWO
1. With the computer in the cab still set to “GASOLINE”
2. Now we want to move switch # 6 to the number “9” position, and again
manually reset the register by moving the # 7 toggle switch all the way to the right.
3. Now record the numbers that appear on the registers display;
GASOLINE

4. Now at the computer in the cab, press the line 2 key to change the product to
“DISTILLATE”, and then check the registers display, and record the numbers that appear below;
DISTILLATE

To restore your system to normal operation, return switch # 6 to position 1, and do a manual reset with the toggle switch # 7 by again moving it all the way to the right. After it resets you should now see 0.0 on the register. Replace the calibration cover, and you are finished
