My Handwritten Report on Unit 4: My Hobbies
By [Your Name], 4th Grade
Title: My Hobbies
What are hobbies? Hobbies are fun activities that we enjoy doing in our free time. Everyone has different hobbies, and they help us relax, learn new things, and have fun!
My Favorite Hobby: Playing Sports
One of my favorite hobbies is playing sports. I really enjoy playing basketball, soccer, and badminton with my friends after school or on the weekends. Sports are a great way to stay active and healthy. When I play sports, I get exercise, fresh air, and a chance to spend time with my friends.
I first started playing basketball in 2nd grade. My dad taught me how to dribble and shoot. At first, I wasn't very good, but I kept practicing. Now, I can make lots of baskets! My favorite part is passing the ball to my teammates and working together.
Soccer is another sport I love. I joined my school's soccer team last year. We practice every week and have games on Saturdays. I play defender, and my job is to keep the other team from scoring goals. It's hard work, but I like being part of a team and cheering each other on.
Badminton is the newest sport I've taken up. My neighbor taught me how to play over the summer. We set up a net in my backyard and hit the shuttlecock back and forth. Badminton is fun because it's fast-paced and you have to think quickly. I'm still learning, but I'm getting better at serving and hitting different shots.
Other Hobbies: Reading and Drawing
Besides sports, I also enjoy reading books and drawing pictures in my free time. Reading takes me to new worlds and helps my imagination grow. I like reading adventure stories, mysteries, and books about animals or outer space. My favorite authors are Roald Dahl and J.K. Rowling - their books are so creative!
Drawing is relaxing for me. I can express my feelings and ideas through colors and shapes. Sometimes I draw characters from books I've read. Other times, I'll draw real things I see
around me like trees, flowers, or my pet cat. Drawing helps me slow down and pay attention to details.
I'm lucky to have so many hobbies that I love. They keep me busy, teach me new skills, and let me explore my interests. Having hobbies makes me happy and gives me a fun break from schoolwork. I wonder what new hobbies I'll discover next?

Unit 4: My Day
My name is Emma and I am in 4th grade. In this unit, we learned how to talk about our daily routines and activities. I will share what I have learned about describing my day.
In the morning, I wake up at 7 o'clock. I get out of bed and get dressed for school. I put on my uniform which is a blue skirt, white shirt, and black shoes. Then I go to the kitchen and have breakfast. My favorite breakfast is cereal with milk and a banana.
After breakfast, I brush my teeth and comb my hair. I put my books and notebooks in my backpack and my mom drives me to school at 8am. The first class is English at 8:30. We practice reading, writing, and speaking in English class.
At 9:30 we have math class. I like math because I enjoy working with numbers and solving problems. We learn addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. Sometimes we work on word problems too.
After math is our break time at 10:30. I go outside to the playground and play games with my friends like tag or jump rope. We also like to sit and chat about our favorite TV shows, books, or video games. Break time is my favorite part of the day!
Then we go back inside for science at 11am. In science, we learn about nature, animals, the human body, and how things work. We do cool experiments like growing plants or making volcanos. Last week, we made drawings of the planets in our solar system.
Next is social studies at 11:45am. We study geography, history, economics and government. Right now, we are learning about maps and the different countries and cultures around the world. My best friend Maria is from Mexico so she shares facts about her culture.
At 12:30pm, we have lunch in the cafeteria. I usually bring a sandwich, fruit, and a juice box from home in my lunchbox. After eating, we have recess again to run off some energy and play outside.
Our last class is art at 1:30pm. Art is so much fun! We get to draw, paint, sculpt with clay, and do other creative projects. I really enjoy using bright colors and making beautiful artwork to hang up at home.
School ends at 3pm. My dad picks me up and takes me home. When I get home, I have a snack like apple slices with peanut butter and work on my homework for about an hour. Homework includes reading, writing stories, and doing some math worksheets.
After homework, I have free time to play outside, read books, or watch TV shows until dinner at 6pm. For dinner, we usually have foods like chicken, rice, and vegetables. My favorite is spaghetti!
After dinner around 7pm, I take a bath and then work on any other homework I have left. By 8pm, I start getting ready for bed.
I put on my pajamas, brush my teeth again, and read a book or color in my coloring books.
Finally, I go to sleep at 9pm to rest up for another day at school! I love my daily routine and all the fun things I learn and do each day as a 4th grader. School helps me build knowledge and skills for the future.
