clean (第1课时)
教学目标
1.认识新单词和短语,如“rubbish bin”、“straw”、“plastic bag”、“clean up”等;
2.熟练掌握新单词的发音、拼写和用法;
3.通过听说读写等多种形式,提高学生对英语的理解和运用能力;
4.启发学生保持城市卫生的意识,让他们了解垃圾分类、环保意识等重要知识。

教学准备
1.教材:《译林版(三起)六年级上册》第六单元;

教学过程
Step 1. Lead-in
1.Greet the students and introduce the topic: Keep our city clean;
2.Ask the students if they have ever seen streets littered with garbage;
3.Display a picture of a street full of rubbish and ask the students how they feel about it;
4.Lead a brief discussion about the negative effects of littering on the environment and our health;
5.Reinforce the importance of keeping our city clean and healthy.
Step 2. Presentation
1.Teach new vocabulary words: rubbish bin, straw, plastic bag, clean up;
2.Present each word with its proper image and phonetic transcription on the board;
3.Ask the students to repeat each word after the teacher and pay attention to the proper pronunciation;
4.Model the use of the new words in sentences and encourage students to use them in their own sentences.
Step 3. Listening and Speaking
1.Play the audio recording of the passage for the students to listen to;
2.Ask the students to listen carefully and take notes on any new vocabulary they hear;
3.In pairs, have students ask and answer questions about the story using the new vocabulary words;
4.Monitor and provide assistance as needed;
5.Call on several pairs to share their conversations with the class.
Step 4. Reading and Writing
1.Distribute copies of the passage to each student;
2.Ask the students to read the passage silently and try to understand the content;
3.In pairs, have students take turns reading the passage aloud to each other;
4.Then ask the students to work in pairs or small groups to write questions about the story;
5.Have groups exchange questions and answer them.
Step 5. Consolidation
1.Ask the students to list different ways to keep the city clean and healthy;
2.Have them brainstorm solutions for the problem of littering and pollution, such as reducing, reusing and recycling;
3.Encourage students to share their ideas and strategies.
Step 6. Homework
1.Have the students write a short essay about how they can keep the city clean and healthy;
2.Encourage them to use the new vocabulary words learned in class;
3.Collect and review the essays in the next class.
