用过去式写一篇关于周末英语作文
The Weekend Fun
Last weekend was so much fun! It started on Friday after school. I was super excited because my best friend Katie was coming over for a sleepover. We had been looking forward to it for weeks.
As soon as the final bell rang, I raced out to the front of the school where my mom was waiting to pick me up. Katie's mom dropped her off at my house a little while later with her sleeping bag and overnight bag. We went up to my room and dumped her stuff on the floor.
"What do you want to do first?" I asked Katie. We had made a whole list of activities we wanted to do during our sleepover.
"Let's go outside and play on the swingset for a little while," Katie said. "It's so nice out!"
We ran downstairs and into the backyard. The sun was shining brightly as we took turns pushing each other on the swings, going higher and higher. After swing time, we played a quick game of tag around the yard before heading back inside.
Once back in my room, we got out some art supplies and made friendship bracelets for each other. I made Katie's purple and green, which are her favorite colors. She made mine blue and orange. We talked and giggled the whole time as we wove the embroidery floss together.
For dinner, my mom ordered us a couple of pizzas with different toppings. We ate it while watching a movie together in the living room. After the movie, it was time for our weekly family game night tradition. This time, Katie joined in too. We played Candy Land, Sorry, and Chutes and Ladders. I won Chutes and Ladders while Katie won Sorry. It was all fun and games.
Finally, it was time for bed around 10pm. We set up our sleeping bags in the living room and settled in to watch another movie. About halfway through, we both drifted off to sleep. I vaguely remember my dad carrying me up to my bed later that night.
The next morning, I woke up to the delicious smell of pancakes wafting from the kitchen downstairs. Katie and I went down to the kitchen where my mom had set out a big breakfast feast for us - pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausage links, hash browns, toast, orange juice. We dug right in, our stomachs growling.
After cleaning up from breakfast, Katie and I decided to have a pretend pet shop in my room. We used my stuffed animal collection as the "pets" that people could adopt. We took turns being the pet shop owner and customers coming in to choose a new furry friend. It was a blast using our imaginations like that.
In the afternoon, Katie's dad came to pick her up and take her home. We were both sad for our sleepover to be over, but happy we had had such a great time. As Katie was leaving, we started plotting ideas for the next sleepover. Maybe we could have a campout in the backyard next time! I couldn't wait.
The rest of the day on Saturday, I spent some time reading books, playing on my tablet, and helping my mom with a few chores like folding laundry. For dinner, we grilled hamburgers and had a picnic outside at the patio table.
On Sunday morning, we went to church and then stopped for brunch at our favorite local cafe on the way home. I had french toast stuffed with cream cheese that was delicious. In the afternoon, my dad took me to the park where I played on the playground for a couple of hours. The highlight was going super high on the swing set again.
For Sunday dinner, my dad made his famous spaghetti and meatballs. After eating, we all curled up together as a family to
watch a movie night pick. I fell asleep on the couch before it ended, exhausted from my jam-packed weekend of fun.
As my mom tucked me into bed that night, I thought about what an awesome weekend I had just experienced between the sleepover with Katie and all the other activities. I couldn't wait for the next weekend to roll around! Being a kid really is the best.。
