1、以 Look! 或 Listen! 开头的句子。 如：Look! The girl in red is dancing over there. 2、句子中有 now 时。 如：We are having English class now. 3、描述图片中人物的动作时。 如：Look at the picture! The boy is swimming . 4、表示当前一段时间内的活动或现阶段正在进行的动作。 这时，常与 these days、this week 等连用。 如：We are playing football these days. 注意：一般表示位移的动词 如 fly, go, come 等用他们的现在进行 时表示将来。 如：I’m coming. I’m flying to shanghai next week.

一、定义
1.表示现在（说话瞬间）正在 进行或发生的动作。 2.也可表示当前一段时间内的 活动或现阶段正在进行的动作。
二、现在进行时的三种结构
（1）肯定式：主语+be+ v-ing +其它。 如：He is reading a book. (2) 否定式：主语+be+not+ v-ing +其它。 如：He is not (isn’t) reading a book. (3)疑问式：包括一疑问句和特殊疑问句。 一般疑问句：Be +主语+ v-ing+其它？ 如：---Is he reading a book ? ---Yes,he is. (No,he isn’t.)
