Review of The Notebook---Love can create miracles“In your life, there will at least one time that you forget yourself for someone, asking for no result, no ownership nor love. Just ask for meeting you in my most beautiful years. ”I have seen this sentence in micro blog and it brought the notebook to my mind. This movie is based on a novel by Nicholas Sparks. The lovers in the film are named Allie Nelson and Noah Calhoun. As old people they're played by Gina Rowland and James Garner. As young people, they were played by Rachel McAdams and Ryan Gosling. In their old age, Allie is suffering from Alzheimer, so, to stir her memories, Noah reads a notebook everyday that tells the story of how they met and fell in love and faced obstacles to their happiness. As the film goes on, the beautiful and romantic scenes are shown to us: the person rows a boat under the soft music, the beautiful birds on the wing, the river shone by the setting sun, and the white house stand by the riverside….When I was addicted to this beautiful picture, the hero’ steadfast love was affecting me so much. When Noah shown his love to Allie, he said “I can be fun if you want…pensive, uh, superstitious, brave. And uh…I can be light on my feet. I could be whatever you want. You just tell me what you want and I’ll be that for you.” Of course, when we fall in love with someone, we will forget ourselves just for win the heart of him or her. Noah is just a common man with common thoughts, he have lived a common life. And his name will soon be forgotten. But in one respect, he have been fortunate than anyone. He has loved a person with all his heart and soul.Their love creates miracles. Generally, there is no happy ending between a rich girl and a poor guy. But in this film, the hero and heroine have surmounted mundane views and made a happy ending although she’s a rich kid, summering at the family's mansion in North Carolina. He's a local kid who works at sawmills but is smart and poetic. Her parents are snobs. In the other hand, after a longtime parting, they still hold their love and lived together finally. Are those miracles? What’s more, the notebook---symbol of their love brought the heroine Allie who was suffering from Alzheimer back to Noah each time and took them away together. It is also a miracle. In a conclusion, love can do anything they want it to.For me, it is not a tearjerker but a special experience that makes me believe love. It is also a film that help the person who already fell in love with someone find the common objective and forces the people who ever loved others to reflect on the past love. As the Chinese proverb said :Forlife or for death, however separated, to our wives we pledged our word. We held their hands; --- We are to grow old together with them.。

The NotebookThere is not so much excuse for love, if love cannot be lasted forever, that only means it did not slip over into the excessive .This is an impression and special love story that a first love couple experienced a lot vicissitudes of life but finally could love each other and live together forever. The most impressive moment is not how much they love each other when young but they still love as ever when they get old. Noah the leading man is always accompany Allie when she lost her memory and recuperate in sanatorium, Noah never leaves her alone even though their children long for him to come back home. He told his children, “Look, guys, that's my sweetheart in there , I'm not leaving her. This is my home now. Your mother is my home.” your mother is my home, your mother is my whole world, your mother is my final destination! How romantic this several simple words are! The movie begins with the elderly life of the couple, and then they recall their young life by Noah’s reading story for Allie. When Allie went there on her summer vacation with her family, she began to know Noah on a party, and the love seed was plant by that young couple. But to my disappointment, they were separated by Allie’s parents, and the letters that Noah wrote to Allie were put away by Allie’s mother after they left the town. The below is the content of the letter that Noah wrote:“My dearest Allie,I couldn't sleep last night because I know that it's over between us. I'm not bitter anymore, because I know that what we had was real. And if in some distant place in the future we see each other in our new lives, I'll smile at you with joy and remember how we spent a summer beneath the trees learning from each other and growing in love. The best love is the kind that awakens the soul and makes us reach for more, that plants a fire in our hearts and brings peace to our minds. And that's what you've given me. That's what I'd hoped to give to you forever. I love you. I'll be seeing you,Noah.”This is the letter from Noah, after Allie left the town he wrote one letter a day to Allie for the whole year, but none of the letter has been sent to Allie because her mother put all of them away. I feel deeply impressed by this letter, a man will do everything he could for you if he love you so much.I love the story very much, as you can find some projections of your love, which can make you got deeper feelings.。

然后飞奔过去与诺亚接吻,诺亚看着她,说得那么真挚动人:“If you are a bird,I’m a bird.”

Summer Romance------Film Review about the NotebookIt is a romantic story about love and memory. At the beginning of the film, an old man comes to read a book for an old woman, they seem don’t know each other, just two lonely pe ople live in the nursing home. Here the story goes: Allie was a lovely beautiful girl who is born in a rich family. And Noah is a handsome boy working as ablue-collar. They met in summer, and madly fell in love with eachother .However, their love is not blessed by Allie’s family. When the summer’s over, Allie has to leave the town for university. And her mother hides all the letters from Noah. Then the Second World War breaks out, Noah joins the army and they loses track of each other. Seven years later, Allie is engaged to a promising officer, while Noah buys their dream house and rebuilds it as Allie’s wish. Somehow, they me et again, clear all the misunderstanding and get their passion back. Then Allie ends her engagement and lives with Noah happily. After many years, because of Alzheimer’s, Allie loses her memory. So Noah comes to read their love story for Allie everyday. He reads time to time and she gets her memory back. Although the memory can last only a few minutes, they never give up. In the end, they die on her bed, hand in hand. As if they are telling others nothing can do them apart, not even the death. Before watching this movie, I thought this movie told a story of two young people’s sentimental love. After finishing it, my eyes are filled up with tears. As an old Chinese saying goes: to hold your hand, to grow old with you. It’s not easy to find the right person to spend our whole life with. How many couples are defeated by time, distance, money or any other things? But they do. After seven years, they still love each other. I guess that is so-called power of love.Although the story itself is common and old, Noah and Allie’s faithful love still moves everyone. The love in summer is the most beautiful and it symbolizes hope and passion. In particular, I’d like to mention the girl’s smile. That curvaceous smile is both sexy and vicious, just like the sun in summer. Whenever she smiles, I could see something in Noah’s eyes. That reminds me of the first scene that Noah meets Allie. I think that is love which fills up Noah’s heart as sunshine does, unresistingly.Behind every great story is a great love. We should cherish the person standing by our side and make every minute counts.。

Reflections on "The Notebook""The Notebook" left me with a profound sense of love, loss, and the enduring power of memories. The story, told through the lens of Noah and Allie's love affair, captured the essence of what it means to be in love and to fight for it, despite the challenges and obstacles that life throws at us.The dedication and commitment Noah showed towards Allie were truly heartwarming. His actions, from building her a house on their favorite lake to writing her letters every day, were testaments to his unwavering love for her. His refusal to give up, even when faced with seemingly insurmountable obstacles, was a powerful reminder of the strength of love. The film also highlighted the importance of memories in shaping our identity and keeping loved ones close to ourhearts. Through Noah's notebooks, he was able to capture their shared experiences and relive them even when Allie could no longer be by his side. These memories became a bridge between them, connecting them across the void created by her dementia. Moreover, "The Notebook" reminded me of the fleeting nature of life and the importance of cherishing every moment with those we love. Life is unpredictable, and we never know when it will be taken away from us. It is, therefore, crucial to make the most of every moment and to tell the people we care about how much they mean to us.In conclusion, "The Notebook" is not just a story about love; it's a reminder of the power of love, memories, and the importance of cherishing every moment. It left me with a renewed sense of gratitude for the love I have in my life and a determination to hold onto those precious memories forever.。

Why don't you work hard and want everything.

I have not read Nicholas Sparks' The Notebook, but I have heard good word-of-mouth about the novel. Sadly, the elements that made the book special did not survive the transition to the screen. The Notebook, as adapted by Nick Cassavetes from a screenplay by Jan Sardi and Jeremy Leven, comes across as an ordinary romantic melodrama with a maudlin and ineffective climax. It's the kind of story for which no term seems more appropriate than "soap opera."
The film unfolds in two time frames featuring the same characters. In the modern day scenes, Noah is played by James Garner and Allie by Gena Rowlands (the director's mother). In the sequences that transpire around World War II, the leads are Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams. It turns out that Allie is suffering from dementia, so, to stir her memories, Noah reads from a notebook that recounts their tumultuous, improbable romance. They met as teenagers in pre-WWII America. For Noah, it was love at first sight, but it took him a while to convince Allie. Almost immediately, the disparity of their social classes became an issue - she came from money and he was a laborer. The disapproval of Allie's mother (Joan Allen) led to their break-up. But fate brought them together after the war, and before Allie married her soldier beau (James Marsden). The 1940s sequences are superior to those that transpire in the 2000s. Admittedly, the love affair between Allie and Noah is typical stuff, but Cassevetes directs the actors competently, the characters are likeable (you want them to end up together), and there's evident chemistry between Gosling and McAdams. The cinematography is evocative and the music never goes over-the-top. Unfortunately, things don't work nearly as well when Garner and Rowlands take over the parts. Their aspect of the story doesn't work. It comes across as a badly diluted imitation of Iris (which handles the issue of fading memory with more poignancy than The Notebook could hope for). And, not only are the modern-day scenes dramatically inert, but it's virtually impossible to accept that these are the same people as the ones falling in love in the '40s. Fortunately, only about 20% of the movie unfolds when the characters are in their twilight years.
The Notebook represents an instance when the desire to obtain a particular MPAA rating has resulted in some bizarre choices. To avoid courting an R, the actors are forced to cover themselves with sheets and the camera is often positioned in a way that makes it seem almost as if the characters are posing. The material in The Notebook is inherently adult in nature (how many teenagers are going to see this movie?), so why neuter its sexuality in pursuit of a PG-13?
Fans of sudsy romances will adore The Notebook, but the film fails to manipulate the intellect with the same effectiveness that it tweaks the emotions. The best thing that can be said about the movie is that it's a worthy antidote to the usual testosterone-driven summer fare, but, in its inability to effectively develop the modern aspect of the story, it fails to throw the tear-jerking emotional punch it might have achieved.。
