2015年高考全国卷2英语试题及答案解析(word精校版)
2015年高考全国英语试题卷2第Ⅰ卷第一部分听力(共两节,满分30分)略第二部分阅读理解(共两节,满分40分)AMy color television has given me nothing but a headache. I was able to buy it a little over a year ago because I had my relatives give me money for my birthday instead of clothes that wouldn’t fit. I let a salesclerk fool me into buying a discontinued model. I realized this a day later, when I saw newspaper advertisements for the set at seventy-five dollars less than I had paid. The set worked so beautiful when I first got it home that I would keep it on until stations signed off for the night. Fortunately, I didn’t get any channels showing all-night movies or I would never have gotten to bed. Then I started developing a problem with the set that involved static(静电) noise. For some reason, when certain shows switched into a commercial, a loud noise would sound for a few seconds. Gradually, this noise began to appear during a show, and to get rid of it, I had to change to another channel and then change it back. Sometimes this technique would not work, and I had to pick up the set and shake it to remove the sound. I actually began to build up my arm muscles(肌肉) shaking my set. When neither of these methods removed the static noise, I would sit helplessly and wait for the noise to go away. At last I ended up hitting the set with my first, and it stopped working altogether. My trip to the repair shop cost me $62, and the sit is working well now, but I keep expecting more trouble.21. Why did the author say he was fooled into buying the TV set?A.He got an older model than he had expected.B. He couldn’t return it when it was broken.C.He could have bought it at a lower price.D. He failed to find any movie shows on it.22. Which of the following an best replace the phrase “signed off” in paragraph 1?A .ended all their programsB provided fewer channelsC. changed to commercialsD. showed all-night movies23. How did the author finally get this TV set working again?A. By shaking and hitting itB. By turning it on and offC. By switching channelsD. By having it repaired24. How does the author sound when telling the story?A. CuriousB. AnxiousC. CautiousD. HumorousBYour house may have an effect on your figure. experts say the way you design your home could play a role in whether you pack on the pounds or keep them off. you can make your environment work for you instead of against you. Here are some ways to turn your home into part of your diet plan.Open the curtains and turn up the lights. dark environments are more likely to encourage overeating, for people are often less self-conscious(难为情) when they’re in poorly lit places – and so more likely to eat lots of food. If your home doesn’t have enough window light, get more lamps a nd flood the place with brightness.Mind the colors. Research suggests warm colors fuel our appetites. In one study, people who ate meals in a blue room consumed 33 percent less than those in a yellow or red room. Warm colors like yellow make food appear m ore appetizing, while cold colors make us less hungry. So when it’s time to repaint, go blue.Don’t forget the clock – or the radio. People who eat slowly tend to consume about 70 fewer calories(卡路里) per meal than those who rush through their meals. Begin keeping track of the time, and try to make dinner last at 30 minutes. And while you’re at it, actually sit down to eat. If you need some help slowing down, turning on relaxing music. It makes you less likely to rush through a meal.Downsize the dishes. Big serving bowls and plants can easily makes us fat. We eat about 22 percent more when using a 12-inch plate instead of a 10-inch plate. When we choose a large spoon over a smaller one, total intake(摄入) jumps by 14 percent. And we’ll pour about 30 percent more liquid into a short, wide glass than a tall, skinny glass.25. The text is especially helpful for those who care about ____.A.their home comfortsB. their body shapeC.house buyingD. healthy diets26. A home environment in blue can help people ____.A. digest food betterB. reduce food intakeC.burn more caloriesD. regain their appetites27. What are people advised to do at mealtimes?A. Eat quickly.B. Play fast musicC. Use smaller spoonsD. Turn down the lights28.What can be a suitable title for the text?A. Is Your House Making You Fat?B. Ways of Serving DinnerC. Effects of Self-ConsciousnessD. Is Your Home Environment Relaxing?CMore students than ever before are taking a gap year(间隔年) before going to university. It used to be the “year off” between school and university. The gap-year phenomenon originated(起源) with the months left over to Oxbridge applicants between entrance exams in November and the start of the next academic year. This year, 25,310 students who have accepted places in higher education institutions have put off their entry until next year, according to statistics on university entrance provided by the University and College Admissions Service (UCAS).That is a record 14.7% increase in the number of students taking a gap year. Tony Higgins from UCAS said that the statistics are good news for everyone in higher education. “Students who take a well-planned year out are more likely to be satisfied with, and complete, their chosen course. Students who take a gap year are often more mature and responsible,” he said. But not everyone is happy. Owain James, the president of the National Union of Students (NUS), argued that the increase is evidence of student hardship – young people are being forced into earning money before finishing their education. “New students are now aware that they are likely to leave university up to£15,000 in debt. It is not surprising that more and more students are taking a gap year to earn money to support their study for the degree. NUS statistics show that over 40% of students are forced to work during term time and the figure increases to 90% during vacating periods,” he said.29. What do we learn about the gap year from the text?A. It is flexible in length.B. It is a time for relaxationC. It is increasingly popularD. It is required by universities30. According to Tony Higgins. students taking a gap year ____.A. are better prepared for college studies B .know a lot more about their future jobC. are more likely to leave university in debtD. have a better chance to enter top universities31. How does Owain James feel about the gap-year phenomenon?A. He’s puzzledB. He’s worriedC. He’s surprisedD. He’s annoyed32.What would most students do on their vacation according to NUS statistics?A. 2015年高考押题英语卷2附答案
2015年高考押题英语卷2第一部分阅读理解第一节阅读下列短文,从每题所给的四个选项(A、B、C和D)中,选出最佳选项,并在题卡上将该项涂黑。
AExercise seems to be good for the human brain, with many recent studies suggesting that regular exercise improves memory and thinking skills. But an interesting new study asks whether the apparent cognitive benefits from exercise are real or just a placebo effect —that is, if we think we will be “smarter” after exercise, do our brains respond accordingly? The answer has significant implications for any of us hoping to use exercise to keep our minds sharp throughout our lives. While many studies suggest that exercise may have cognitive benefits, recently some scientists have begun to question whether the apparently beneficial effects of exercise on thinking might be a placebo effect. So researchers at Florida State University in Tallahassee and the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign decided to focus on expectations, on what people anticipate that exerci se will do for thinking. If people’s expectations jibe (吻合) closely with the actual benefits, then at least some of those improvements are probably a result of the placebo effect and not of exercise. For the new study, which was published last month in PLOS One, the researchers recruited 171 people through an online survey system, they asked half of these volunteers to estimate by how much a stretching and toning regimens (拉伸运动) performed three times a week might improve various measures of thinking. The other volunteers were asked the same questions, but about a regular walking program. In actual experiments, stretching and toning program generally have little if any impact on people’s cognitive skills. Walking, on the other hand, seems to substantially improve thinking ability. But the survey respondents believed the opposite, estimating that the stretching and toning program would be more beneficial for the mind than walking. The estimates of benefits from walking were lower. These data, while they do not involve any actual exercise, are good news for people who do exercise. “The results from our study suggest that the benefits of aerobic exercise are not a placebo effect,” said Cary Stothart, a graduate student in cognitive psychology at Florida State University, who led the study. If expectations had been driving the improvements in cognition seen in studies after exercise, Mr. Stothart said, then people should have expected walking to be more beneficial for thinking than stretching. They didn’t, implying that the changes in the brain and thinking after exercise are physiologically genuine. The findings are strong enough to suggest that exercise really does change the brain and may, in the process, improve thinking, Mr. Stothart said. That conclusion should encourage scientists to look even more closely into how, at a molecular level, exercise remodels the human brain, he said. It also should encourage the rest of us to move, since the benefits are, it seems, not imaginary, even if they are in our head.1. Why did the researchers at the two universities conduct the research?A. To discover the placebo effect in the exercise.B. To prove the previous studies have a big drawback.C. To test whether exercise can really improve cognition.D. To encourage more scientists to get involved in the research.2. What can we know about the research Cary Stothart and his team carried out?A. They employed 171 people to take part in the actual exercise.B. The result of the research removed the recent doubt of some scientists.C. The participants thought walking had a greater impact on thinking ability.D. Their conclusion drives scientists to do research on the placebo effect.3. What might be the best title for the passage?A. Is it necessary for us to take exercise?B. How should people exercise properly?C. What makes us smarter during exercise?D. Does exercise really make us smarter?BThe current Ebola (埃博拉病毒) outbreak in western and central Africa has infected at least 3,069 people, including 1,552 dead, making it the largest outbreak in history. Ebola is a deadly virus —about 60 percent of people infected with it have died. How is Ebola doing its harm? When a person becomes infected with Ebola, the virus damages the body’s immune (免疫的) cells, which defend against infection, said a researcher at Lancaster University. But if a person’s immune system can stand up to this attack, then he is more likely to survive the disease. The patients that survive it best are those who don’t get such a bad disadvantage in immune system. But if the body isn’t able to get rid of this attack, then the immune system becomes less able to regulate (调节) itself. This means the immune system is more likely to run out of control, leading to a drop in blood pressure, multi-organ failure and eventually death. What are the common symptoms of the disease?Fever. Headache. Joint and muscle aches. Weakness. Diarrhea. V omiting. Stomach pain. Lack of appetite. Chills. Rash. Redness in the eyes. Hiccups. Cough. Sore throat. Chest pain. Difficult breathing or swallowing. Bleeding inside and outside of the body. How to prevent the spread of Ebola?Ebola can be spread primarily via direct contact with patients, specifically the blood and fluids of an infected patient. We should avoid contact with infected patients and objects such as clothing, bedding, and needles used by them. Avoid areas where infections have been reported. For now, the disease has only been confirmed in central and West Africa, four cases in America and Europe. Avoid eating wild-caught bush meat. Researchers have suspected that the disease came to humans via animals, probably through the meat of primates(灵长类). If you’re in an area where the disease has been reported, avoid purchasing, eating, or handling wild game to stay on the safe side.Wear protective medical clothing if you’re around infected patients. Extreme caution is necessary. Hospital workers must use masks, gloves, goggles, and gowns, which needed to be worn at all times if y ou’re around infected patients. How Do People Survive Ebola?Doctors don’t know for certain who will survive Ebola, and there is no specific treatment or cure for the disease. Although in the minority, some people do recover from infection. Our suggestions include:Maintain your electrolytes (电解质) and body liquid. Sports drinks can be used. Monitor your blood pressure and control it if necessary. Dropping blood pressure may be a serious sign of infection. Breathe in an oxygen-rich environment. Quickly address any symptoms o f infection. Be honest about when and where you’re feeling pain.4. Ebola causes the death of a human being by ________.A. attacking him with high feverB. regulating his immune systemC. damaging his immune cellsD. harming all his organs directly5. What is NOT mentioned as the symptom of Ebola?A. Fever and chills.B. Swallowing difficulty.C. Loss of blood.D. High blood pressure.6. In order not to be infected by Ebola, we should _________.A. have the clothing of the infected cleanedB. avoid eating wild animals like monkeysC. not travel to Africa, America or EuropeD. stay at home without going anywhere7. It is true that ________.A. a certain number of people survive EbolaB. human has found a special cure for EbolaC. oxygen can save infected people’s livesD. low blood pressure is surely caused by EbolaCThe term “Industry 4.0” refers to the fourth industrial revolution. The first industrial revolution was the production of goods with machines like steam engines, which was followed by the second industrial revolution that introduced mass production with the help of electric power, followed by the digital revolution —the use of electronics and IT in production.Industry 4.0 is a high-tech project, which promotes the computerization of manufacturing (制造业). The basic principle of Industry 4.0 is that by connecting machines, work pieces and systems, we are creating intelligent networks along the entire value chain that can control each other automatically. The goal is the Smart Factory, which adapts well and uses resources efficiently as well as linking customers and business partners with great intelligence. Technological basis are the Internet systems and advanced factories. Experts believe that Industry 4.0 could be a reality in about 10 to 20 years. So, what effects does this change have on the classic manufacturing? According to an expert, “it is highly likely that the world of production will become more and more networked until everything is connected with ev erything else.” Networks and processes have so far been limited to one factory. But in the time of Industry 4.0, the boundaries (界限) of individual factories will most likely no longer exist. Instead, they will be lifted in order to inter-connect multiple factories or even geographical regions. How is an Industry 4.0 factory different from a today’s factory? In current industry environment, providing high-end quality service or product with the least cost is the key to success. Factories are trying to increase their profit as much as possible. In the time of Industry 4.0, various data sources are available to provide worthwhile information about different aspects of the factory. Using data for understanding the current condition and checking faults and failures is a natural thing. The sharing of information around the clock and around the globe will enable these connected systems to manage themselves independently, work more efficiently and identify any errors quickly. The good news is that Europe is much better prepared for the Industry 4.0 revolution than one might think. Europe will position itself as a pioneer in the fourth revolution. Industry 4.0 is a project in the high-tech strategy of the German government. Meanwhile, in the U.S., some companies are also working hard on it. But the success of industry depends on whether business and politics can work together. It’s not only politics that needs to help open the door for Industry 4.0. Every company is advised to seize the new digital opportunities.8. What marks the coming of Industry 4.0?A. Steam engines.B. Mass production.C. Use of electronics.D. Intelligent networks.9. Industry 4.0 will probably result in ________ in the world of manufacturing.A. production limited to an individual factoryB. everything connected with everything elseC. networks and processes no longer existingD. classic factories stopping their competition10What’s the meaning of the underlined part in Para. 4?A. Sharing information of the world time.B. Global news broadcast at any time.C. Instant worldwide information exchange.D. Spreading news widely on the hour.11. According to the last paragraph, who is the most active in pushing Industry 4.0?A. The European companies.B. The American government.C. The American companies.D. The German government.D“One City One Book” is a generic name (通称) for a community reading program that attempts to get everyone in a city to read and discuss the same book. Popular book picks have been Harper Lee’s To Kill a Mockingbird,Ernest Gaines’s A Lesson Before Dying, and Ray Bradbury’s Fahrenheit 451.“One City One Book” programs take the idea of a localized book discussion club and expand it to cover a whole city. The first such program was “If All of Seattle Read the Same Book” in 1998,started by Nancy Pearl atSeattle Public Library’s Washington Center for the Book. The book chosen for the program was The Sweet Hereafter by Russell Banks, written in 1991.Other cities copied the idea, and the Library of Congress listed 404 programs occurring in 2007.Each city’s program has its own goals; These typically include building a sense of community and promoting literacy. Nancy Pearl warns against expecting too much from a program:“Keep in mind that this i s a library program,it’s not an exercise in civics, and that it’s not intended to have literature cure the racial divide. This is about a work of literature.”Programs typically involve more than having everyone read the same book. Some other activities that have been included are:book discussion sessions, scholarly lectures on the book or related topics,a visit by the author, exhibits, related arts programming (especially showing a movie of the book if there is one),and integration into school curricula. In Boston the “One City One Story” program used shorter stories and distributed tens of thousands of free copies of the story over the course of a month.American Library Association puts out a detailed step-by-step guide on how to organize a local program, including the critical step of picking the one book. The Center for the Book at the Library of Congress tracks all known programs and the books they have used.12.“One City One Book” programs________.A.ask everyone in a city to donate one book B.can rid a city of racial divide through readingC.choose short stories for people to read D.encourage everyone in a city to read and discuss the same book 13.We know from the second paragraph that “One City One Book” programs________.A.became popular very quickly B.have been held more than 400 times in SeattleC.were sponsored by the Library of Congress D.reached its peak in 200714.We can infer from the third paragraph that Nancy Pearl________.A.expects much from the programs B.doesn’t expect that the programs would run so wellC.has a practical attitude towards the programs Dbelieves the programs will push forward community building 15.What kind of role does American Library Association play in the programs?A.It picks out the city which runs the programs well. Even scientists don’t know much about the animal in the wild because it is so private. We do know that the clouded leopard isn’t actually a leopard. It is a species of its own. However, it does have spots like a leopard. They help it blend into the background in the forest. What else do we know about the cat? It is one of the best climbers of all wild cats. This skill is clearly imprinted in the kittens early on by their mothers and by instinct. In the wild, the cat lives in the tropical rain forests of Asia. It hunts small animals, such as squirrels and monkeys. It is listed on the United States Endangered Species Act. This protects it from being hunted. Scientists have speculated that the wild population is getting smaller, but no actual numbers are available.into extinction. The Clouded Leopard Project has recently begun a conservation effort in Thailand. It is a natural home of the clouded leopard. Funds will be given to the Khao Kheow Open Zoo to help with the breeding of these cats. Part of the money also will help save the habitat of the wild cats. People will work to monitor these wild cats. They will be photographed instead of being sedated, or drugged, to be tagged(加标签). Sedating clouded leopards could cause the cats’ bodies to lose too much water, or worse. The project has had some great successes in the last few years. Two cubs were born in the United States, and two were born in Thailand. Members of the Clouded Leopard Project hope the urge to protect such species will become embedded in people’s minds. They sponsor several education programs at zoos. They also sponsor programs to directly help the cats. Through their work they ultimately will increase the population of this species.65. The Clouded Leopard Project aims at increasing the population of the cat.D. Observing clouded leopards’ behavior protects the cats from being hunted.(B)(C)With greenhouse gas emissions(排放)hitting record levels and passing climate scientist's worst predictions, a new group of Chinese activists is making its voice heard at the United Nations climate talks, the COP17, which was held in Durban, South Africa. The delegation of independent Chinese non-governmental organizations (NGOs) believes that civil society must play a bigger role in the global climate crisis. C Plus is the name given to the project launched by 42 Chinese NGOs, calling for domestic and global action to fight climate change. And they think the best way of demanding governments' action is to take action by themselves. The message is clear: climate action is too important and too urgent. It can't wait. The top-down process of negotiations that we are seeing at the UN is too slow.C Plus has three components, which together explain its name. C Plus stands for: Beyond Commitment. This means that NGOs must put pressure on their governments to achieve targets that are beyond those that have been officially stated. Second is Beyond China -- in other words, NGOs outside and inside of China together must strive to influence their respective governments to take action. Finally, Beyond Climate. The project targets not just carbon reduction but othergovernment's task of environment responsibility and raising public awareness in environment protection. And NGOs can claim some notable successes. NGOs sponsored “26-degree air conditioning office”among the public, which later became a government regulation. A group of Chinese citizens organized together and stopped the construction of a dangerous chemical plant in Xiamen. In total, there are 3,539 environment NGOs in China, in which 55.2 percent now have their own offices, and 26 percent have fixed source of investment. However, most environment NGOs still face problems including difficulty in raising money, shortage in personnel and weak organization ability in their development process. In Durban, Chinese NGOs have arrived as a team and are prepared to state their demands.72. The passage is mainly about _____.A. Durban climate change conferenceB. environment NGOs in ChinaC. C plus project launched by NGOsD. achievements of NGOs73. Which of the following is true about the C Plus?A. It is an organization devoted to controlling the greenhouse gas emission.B. It is a program aiming at influencing government to take action to protect environment.C. It is a project designed by the government to unite NGOs inside and outside China.D. It is a statement calling for public awareness in environment protection.74. Most environment NGOs don’t lack _____.A. financial supportB. human resourcesC. development goalsD. organizational skills75. What can be inferred from the passage about the NGOs?A. They once pushed the government to make a regulation concerning office temperature.B. They pushed forward the slow negotiations by adopting the top-down style.C. They were directly involved in making environment-related policies.D. They successfully pressurized the government to achieve the unofficially stated targets. Section CDirections: Read the following text and choose the most suitable heading from A-F for eachAutism is a disorder of early development that causes severe problems in thinking, communicating with others, and feeling a part of the outside world. Taken from the Greek word autos meaning “alone,” autism prevents children from developing normal social relationships, even with their parents. Not all autistic infants and children are alike; in fact, there is no single typical clinical picture of the disorder. However, certain types of behavior are noted in a majority of autistic children. Autistic infants will not cuddle, and they do not like to be picked up. The usual things that children do to imitate adults, such as waving goodbye, are not observed in autistic children. Instead, autistic children very often repeat such movements as flicking a hand, twisting an arm or leg, or banging the head over and over. Strange gestures and distorted facial expressions are common.Language develops slowly, if at all. Some autistic children remain totally silent, while others merely repeat words they hear or communicate by gestures. They have little or no interest in making friends. They smile rarely, if ever, and will avoid making eye contact. Unlike normal children, they tend to fixate on a single object or task, such as spinning the wheels on a toy car over and over.At one time autism was blamed on bad parenting. Now itis believed to be caused by abnormalities in the brain. Several possible causes of these abnormalities have been proposed: an illness the mother suffered during her pregnancy; too little oxygen at the time of birth; or possiblyan abnormal gene. In some cases, X rays have revealed abnormalities in the structure of the brain itself. There is no way to diagnose autism apart from observing the child's behavior closely over a period of time.Although some patient-tailored programs can help children function better, the life of these children is generally hard to predict. Some will remain severely impaired throughout their lives. A majority always will depend heavily on support from relatives and professional caregivers, and may require special living arrangements and close supervision. However, progressive changes in the treatment of these children have enabled about one in six to live independently and work productively. What’s more, the intelligence level of the child partly affects the ability to function.Section DDirections: Read the passage carefully. Then answer the questions or complete the statements in the fewest possible words. If you have been following the news you will know that the world’s population recently reached seven billion – probably on 31st October. The statistics concerning human population growth are astonishing. It was only 12 years ago, in 1999, that the world’s population reached six billion. In 1969 there were 3.5 billion people on the planet, which is to say our numbers have doubled in only 42 years. A century ago, in 1911, there were only 1.8 billion of us: 26% of today’s total. As for future population growth, it seems there will probably be eight billion people by 2030 and nine billion by around 2050. After that, predictions vary: many experts think the total will rise more slowly, perhaps reaching ten billion by the end of the century; but a few believe the fast rise might continue, leading to a global population of as many as 15 billion by 2100. There are big differences between rates of population growth around the world. The fastest rates are generally in the world’s poorer countries, including those in sub-Saharan Africa, while the populations of rich countries are mostly growing much more slowly, or even shrinking in a few cases. (Germany and Japan, for example, will have smaller populations in 2050 than they do now.) This fact explains another interesting statistic: in 1900 Europe contained around 25% of the world’s people, but in 2050 it will have less than 10%.There are many reasons for fast population growth, but the most significant include medical advances and generally improved standards of living in poor countries, which mean fewer deaths from diseases or from malnutrition. Indeed, average life expectancy across the world has risen 20 years since the 1950s, from 48 to 68, and the biggest rises have been in poor countries. Some people already talk of a crisis of overpopulation, expecting there to be wars over access to natural resources and warning that, because those resources are limited, it is impossible for seven billion people (let alone nine or ten) to have the kind of high-consumption lifestyles that people in the world’s richer countries currently enjoy. Others, however, believe the planet can accommodate another two or three billion humans without a social or environmental disaster. We can only hope the optimists will be proved right.(Note: Answer the questions or complete the statements in NO MORE THAN EIGHT WORDS)81. When was the world’s population half of what it is now?82. There seems to be a connection between a country’s rates of population and_________________________________________.83. What contributed to the fast population growth?84. Some people predicted that the conflict between _______________________ may lead towars.第II卷(共45分)I.Translation (20%)Directions: Translate the following sentences into English, using the words given in the brackets.1. 是到了我们为国家承担责任的时候了。
