Unit9 I like music that I can dance to.
一、教材分析:从结构内容上说,定语从句是初中阶段必需了解的一种句法结构。

本单元将通过一系列的练习(句型结构练习、听力练习、精读写作练习自我检测、泛读练习)来达到学习目的,完成学习任务。

本课时所进行的是基本的句型结构和部分听力练习,是整个单元学习的双基。

二、学情分析:学生学会用定语从句谈论自己所喜爱或偏好的艺术,学习表达自己的爱好。

虽然学生在以前所学的内容当中已经有所接触定语从句,但仅仅是了解而已,对于定语从句地系统地掌握需要一定地强化,因此,本课地目标语言就变为本课地难点了。

在解决这一问题上,让学生通过“情景教学、看图说话、小组对话以及听力训练”的方法、经过反复练习的方法,让其达到掌握并运用的目的。

三、教学目标:
语言目标: prefer,lyric,dance to, remind of ,sing along with Key sentences
重点句子What kind of music do you like? I like music that I can dance to.
I like music that has great lyrics. I like music that I can sing along with.
I like music that is not too loud.
能力目标:
Enable the Ss to talk about different kinds of music and their own preferences.
情感和态度目标:Emotion and attitude goals Enable the Ss to enjoy kinds of music.过程与方法在听说读写的教学环节中,采用看图说话和编造对话方式进行授课。

让学生学会用定语从句谈论自己所喜爱或偏好的艺术,学习表达自己的爱好。

教学重点: Enable the Ss to talk about different kinds of music and their own preferences。

四、教学方法
这一节课我分为两个部分:第一部分引入定语从句的学习;第二部分围绕I like music that I can dance to.这一话题展开思维(1a)、听力(1b)、
口语(1c),最终完成本课时的教学任务。

采用情景教学、看图说话、小组对话以及听力训练的方法进行教学。

五、教学过程
Step 1 Warming up : Greet the class.
Play the beautiful, lyric song Do, Re, Mi in the movie “Sound of Music”Greet the teacher. Listen to the music and join the singing.
通过问候语和视频音乐,创设和谐亲切的开课氛围。

Step 2
Leading-in Discuss: Do you like music? What kind of music do you know? Discuss the names of different kinds of music. 学生通过讨论,彼此交流课前搜集的不同种类音乐的名称,可以迅速融入音乐和英语结合的氛围。

Step 3 Task One pre-task There are many kinds of music such as pop, jazz, rock….Let Ss do a survey.(多媒体出示)
Ask and answer in pairs: What kind of music do you like best? Why? I like pop music/ classical music/ dance music, etc. And tell the reasons.
教师布置任务,引出话题,组织学生进行交流,学生通过思考和谈论话题“What kind of music do you like? Why?”引入新句型——定语从句。

Step 4 Explain
Explain the Attributive Clause and give some examples.(幻灯片展示)
Listen to the teacher and master the Attributive Clause. 教师给予适当讲解,让学
生初步理解定语从句。

Step 1 Task two Give Ss some time to do some exercise. Try to change the sentences into Attributive Clause according to the examples. 学生进行实践练习,更进一步学习运用定语从句。

Step 2 while-task 1. prefer to do sth. Prefer Let Ss read 1a.Play the recording, explain the sentences: I prefer music that has great Look at the picture and read the sentences t. Then practice the conversation in pairs. Then make up a short passage 多媒体出示学生通过同桌练习的方式熟悉新句型,之后把所练句型以口头形式连成一篇Prefer to do sth. rather than do sth. 2.sing along with 3.dance to lyrics=I like music that has great lyrics better. 4.lyrics:常用复数. Ask Ss to practice in pairs then make up a short passage using the four sentences on the screen. Explain attributive clauses. Four sentences. 小短文,达到了讲练结合的效果。

让学生在刚刚接触定语从句时就明确了解它的结构,对下一步的学习有很大帮助。

Step 3: Listening 1b. Play the recording. And then check the answers. Listen and fill in the blanks.
Step 4:Task Three 1.Group work 2.Pair work1c. Everyone should practice using the sentence pattern——the Attributive Clause. First, a dialogue between the teacher and some Ss: What kind of music do you like? I like music that I can sing along with. What about you? I prefer music that has great lyrics. Talk about the music you like. You can make conversations about music in any ways you like. Make a conversation with each other. 结对练习以两个人为活动单位,既能使他们乐于去表达,又可保证人人有说和做的机会。

使小组成员互相合作,培养其集体观念和写作意识。

Everyone should practice using the sentence pattern the Attributive clause.
达标评价:
Step 1 Pre-task Ask Ss to think of names of bands as many as possible. Think: What kind of musicians do you like? Say names of bands as many as possible. Try to answer the question using attributives. 为下一节听力做好热身活动,并初步尝试定语从句的应用。

Step 2 Listening.2a、2b. Ask the students to listen to the recording between Carmen and Xu Fei.(2a,2b)First, ask a student to read the sentences in 2a.Play the tape. Then check the answers. Listen and complete 2a and 2b. 听是不可缺少的教学活动。

通过听力练习锻炼学生的听力能力,交流提高也就是听力的提高。

拓展Step1 Discussion Show some pictures, such as Discuss in groups. Show their work to the 分组进行对话,锻炼学生的口语表达能力。

Step 2 Write a composition about the kinds of books they like and dislike.

七、课后反思:学生提前进行预习,课程进行的比较顺利。

学生积极参加了口语活动,对定语从句有了初步的认识,在以后的教学中接着进行渗透。
