第5单元第17课《I have long arms》第二课时教学设计

教学目标:
1. 学生能够在情景中使用“What’s this?”句型询问这是什么动物,并且能够用“It’s a / an… . ”回答出动物的名称。
2. 学生能够认读和运用big、red、white、eyes、ears、hair描述本课所学动物rabbit、elephant、panda、zebra、fox、monkey、kangaroo的身体部位,并与他人进行交流。
3. 学生能够跟随录音说唱小韵文。
4. 学生能够与他人猜测和谈论所画的动物,并且能够运用“It has… .”描述动物的外貌特点。
5. 培养学生热爱动物、保护动物的意识。
单元分析:
本单元的话题是谈论动物以及动物的外貌。
在复习Unit 4 “There are many animals.”“I like… .”等用语的基础上,学生能够在熟悉的场景中使用“What’s this?”“It’s a / an… . ”询问和回答动物的名称。
能够根据实际情况在情景中用“It has… .”描述动物的外貌。
本课时由Let’s act和Let’s say两部分组成。
其中,Let’s act板块呈现的是本单元的功能句型“What’s this?”“It’s a / an… . ”,要求学生能够在一定情景中运用所学的语言与他人谈论动物的外貌特点,并且进行交流。
在Let’s say板块里,学生能够通过跟读、模仿韵文,感知英语的韵律,能够听懂、会说、认读一些身体部位的单词,包括:eyes、ears、mouth、nose、knees、toes。
教学重点:
1. 学生能够运用“What’s this?”句型向他人询问这是什么动物,并且能够用“It’s a / an… . ”回答出动物的名称。
2. 学生能够认读出以下单词:big、red、white、eyes、ears、hair。
教学难点:
1. 学生会用“What’s this?”句型询问这是什么动物,并且能够用“It’s a / an… . ”应答出动物的名称。
2. 学生能够准确认读和记忆eyes和ears。
教具准备:多媒体课件,PPT课件,动物卡片
教学过程:
1. Sing a song
Students sing the song of the animals with music.
2. Guess riddles
Students attempt to guess out the riddles according to the teacher’s description.Then teacher puts the animal pictures on a painting paper.
T: It has big ears and red eyes. What’s this?
Ss: It’s a rabbit.
T: Great! I have another one. Listen carefully. It has long nose and big ears. What’s this?
Ss: It’s a elephant.
T: Great! You are very clever!
3. Activity: My zoo
Students are divided into pairs. First they take out the paintings. And then each one puts the animal pictures on the painting paper after answering the questions from the partner correctly. Each pair use the functional sentences “What’s this?”“It’s a/an ... .” to practice.
4.Activity: Listen and guess
Students speak out the names when listening to the sounds of the animal. It includes dog, horse, cow, cat, bird, duck and sheep.
5. Learn the verse
(1) Activity: I say, you do
Although different animals have different features. Each animal has a head, a mouth, a nose, eyes, ears, knees and toes. We also have those body parts.
Student point to the body parts as teacher’s instruction.
(2) Learn the verse
Students learn to read the verse after the teacher. They point to those body parts while they are reading it.
6.Activity: Animal star
Students speak out the animal stars which have some special features after discussing with classmates.
(1) ________ has long nose.
(2) ________ has long tail.
(3) ________ has black and white hair.
(4) ________ has a bag with a baby.
(5) ________ has black stripes(条纹).
Animal words: elephant, monkey, panda, kangaroo, zebra.
7. Homework: Draw your favorite animal on a picture, and write a sentence with the sentence structure “It’s a/an ... .”
