figure out the main character's feelings in certain situations;
find out supporting details to show the feelings;
describe feelings of a person in a vivid way.

Teaching procedure
Stepl: Revision
1.Have students review the story they read in the past New National Entrance Examination.
QI: Do you still remember the story, on which you have to base your writing?
Q2: What is it mainly about?
Q3: Which ending did you put to the story, a happy ending or a sad ending?
2.Review the plot of the story and figure out Jane's feelings in different situations.
A quairel broke out. angry
Jane got lost. 一- surprised, frightened, regretful, confused
Jane found a stream and some berries.…joyful, hopeful
Jane heard a helicopter…hopeful, anxious
3・ Have students figure out in what aspects the writer writes about the feelings of Jane・

4. Draw students' attention to the use of grammatical structures and sentence patterns in the passage・Think about the purposes of using them in the writing of the story. Have students find out more examples.

Step 3: Writing
1.Students work together and write the first paragraph according to the given sentences using what they have learnt in this class・
2.Provide students with a sample paragraph. Have students compare the two paragraphs.
3.Students write the second paragraph.

阅读下面短文，根据所给情节进行续写，使之构成一个完整的故事（满分25分）。

One weekend in July, Jane and her husband, Tom, had driven three hours to camp overnight by a lake in the forest. Unfortunately, on the way an unpleasant subject came up and they started to quarrel. By the time they reached the lake, Jane was so angry that she said to Tom. "I'm going to find a better spot for us to camp" and walked away.
With no path to follow, Jane just walked on for quite a long time・ After she had climbed to a high place, she turned around, hoping to see the lake. To her surprise, she saw nothing but forest and, far beyond, a snowcapped mountain top. She suddenly realized that she was lost.
“Tom! ”she cried. ”Help!”
No reply. If only she had not left her mobile phone in that bag with Tom. Jane kept moving, but the farther she walked, the more confused she became・ As night was beginning to fall, Jane was so tired that she had to stop for the night. Lying awake in the dark, Jane wanted very much to be with Tom and her family. She wanted to hold him and tell him how much she loved him.
Jane rose at the break of day, hungry and thirsty・ She could hear water trickling （滴落）somewhere at a distance. Quickly she followed the sound to a stream. To her greal ioy. she also saw some berry bushes. She drank and ate a few berries. Never in her life had she tasted anything better. Feeling stronger now. Jane began to walk along the stream and hope it would lead her to the lake.
As she picked her way carefully along the stream, Jane heard a helicopter. Is that for me? Unfortunately, the trees made it impossible for people to see her from above・ A few minutes later, another helicopter flew overhead・ Jane took off her yellow blouse, thinking that she should go to an open area and flag them if they came back again.

On the day she planned to go shopping with the money, she had eaten a light meal ~ no! Between getting the children fed and the house cleaned, and preparing herself to go shopping, she had forgotten to eat at all!
When she arrived at the large department store・ She spotted a pile of silk stockings at the entrance ・ A sign nearby announced that they had been reduced in price・ A young girl behind the counter asked her if she wished to examine the silky leg coverings. She smiled and started to feel the soft, costly items. Missus Sommers picked up a black pair and looked at them closely. She loved them・ She looked up at the shop girl and asked, "Well, I will buy this pair.”
Missus Sommers changed her cotton stockings for the new silk ones in a rest room. How good was the touch of the silk on her skin! Then she put her shoes back on and put her old stockings into her bag. Next, she went to the shoe department, where she tried on a pair of new boots・ Her foot and ankle （脚踝）looked lovely. She could not believe that they were a part of herself. 注意：
