摘要：PURPOSE:To prevent deterioration of turbine performance, by dividing a void in a nozzle into a ventral chamber and a back chamber, and providing each of said chambers with a drain discharge pipe and a drain regulating valve. CONSTITUTION:A void in a nozzle 1 is divided into a ventral chamber 4a and a back chamber 4b, the former being connected to a ventral suction hole 2 while the latter to a back suction hole 3. To each of these chambers is connected each of drain discharge pipes 12, 13 which is provided with each of drain regulating valves 14, 15 respectively. When the amount of water sticking to the ventral side of said nozzle is small, the ventral side regulating valve 14 is throttled, while when the amount of water sticking to the back side of said nozzle is small, the back side regulating valve 15 is throttled. Due to the above construction, the amount of steam sucked through said suction holes 2, 3 is suppressed, and deterioration of turbine performance can be prevented.
