Lesson 8
(Fun with Enlish Book 3)
【教材分析】本课是《快乐英语》第三册第二单元中的第八课。
本课学习坚持以学生的发展为宗旨,以提高学生的应用能力为目标,培养学生的学习兴趣和自信心,帮助学生获得良好的语音基础知识和用英语进行简单的日常交流的能力。
本课重点要学习的是四会字母Ii, Jj及单词egg.三会单词ice-cream, ice lolly, jet, jeep并要求学生能运用所学句型What's the time, please?询问时间。
让学生能将所学的内容与学习、生活联系起来,能够学以致用。
【Teaching aims】
Knowledge aims:
1.Get the students to grasp the four-skills letters” Ii Jj”and the word”egg”
2. Enable the students to grasp the three-skills words: ice-cream, ice lolly, jet, jeep.
3.To get t he students to ask and answer the question “What's the time, please?
4.To understand the sentences : “I'm late. I must go. Don't hurry”.
Ability aims:
1.To be able to ask and answer the time in English correctly.
2.To train the students' abilities of learning by themselves and working in groups..
3.Enable the students to sing the song “What’s the time?”Emotion aims:
1. Let the students know it’s very important to cherish the time. And train Ss habit to be early to bed and be early to rise.
2.F oster the students’consciousness of their competition . 【Teaching important points and difficult points】
1.To pronounce the letter “J” correctly .Understand
the difference between G and J.
2. Ask the time in English and answer it correctly 【Teaching methods】
TPR teaching method, Direct teaching method and game teaching. 【Teaching aids】
PPT letter cards, word cards, sentence cards,
toy ,jet ,clock ,recorder ect.
【Teaching procedures】
Step 1:Warm—up
1 .Greetings
T: Good morning, everyone!Nice to see you again !How are you ?Now let’s begin class. Are you ready ?

2. Sing an English song (PPT)
T: Do you like singing? Ok, first let’s sing an English song “ABC”, OK?
3、Free talk .
T:Hello , what’s your name ?How old are you ? What c lass are you in ? Nice to see you !
【设计思路】通过英语对话,使学生转换到英语思维,为上课作准备。
同时唱英语歌曲既复习了字母也活跃了课堂气氛,激发学生学习兴趣并集中注意力。
Step 2:Presentation
T: Ok. Now I have a question. Who can tell me ? What's three and five? What's six and two? (卡片)
Ss: Eight.
T: Good! Today we’ll learn Lesson 8.(领读课题)
A. Listen ,read and write .
T:Now let’s play a little game together.This game is “Neighbours ” I say a letter. Can you say out their neighbours?

T: Good. You’re great. Today we’ll meet two new letters.
Look at me. I look like a big letter . Can you guess?(用身体做I的
动作)??

T: Very clever. "Ii" (Show the letter card) /ai/.It's /ai/,not
/ei/.Look at my mouth. Follow me. Ii↗ Ii↘
Ss: I i /ai/.( Get the Ss to read in different ways.)
T: Look carefully this letter .How do you remember
it ?Who can tell us? (I像“工人”的“工”字,i像汉语拼音
的言字旁) (Teach to write Ii and Ss write on the air)
T: (PPT letter Ii 笔顺)How many strokes big letter I? Use your
finger ,let’s write it . (One… two… three…) (Write on the blackboard) Then let students write them on their exercise-books.
T: We know these letters are very useful. They can make words.
T: Oh, now I' m thirsty .I want to eat some ice cream or ice
lolly .Do you like them?( PPT : ice cream)
T:Oh ,what’s this ?It’s very delicious .Can you read it ?

T: i, i, i, /ai/,/ai/,/ai/, ice lolly. Read it in groups, one by one.
T: Now ,let’s play a game .This game is “I up, you down .”
T: Ok, well done .Let's look at the second letter Jj .(Show the letter card). It's /d3ei/, not /d3i:/.(Show the letter card “Gg”)

(区分J与G,纠正错误的发音,在四线三格内板书J,注意格式, J像雨伞的把手, j像头顶一顶小帽子)

T: Today Billy has a problem .He has no watch and he doesn’t know the time. He wants to ask time. What should he say? Ss:请问:现在几点了?

(Drills the sentence “One by one ,Group by group and so on .”)
【设计思路】通过复习旧知到愿不愿意帮助他人,来实现新的句式的
呈现,创设情境激发学生的学习热情,学生乐于帮助别人,也乐于学习这个句式。
T: If we know the time ,we can get up early and go to school early, but today Billy got up late ,let’s see what happened ? Listen to the tape. And answer the question: What’s the time now ?
b. Drills
1. Read by themselves and find “what happened ?”.
2 .Follow the tape .
3.Read freely and find out the difficulties and solve it together.
( eg. the sentences: “I’m late . I must go. Don’t hurry “.Then practice them in different ways)
4.Read and act.
T:Now , practise in pairs and act it ,please .
【设计思路】:通过反复练习时间,使学生掌握What’s the time,please?这个句式。
问题引出课文内容,使学生有目的地去听录音,同时,听录音跟读使学生纠正语音,熟悉内容,并渗透要养成早睡早起的好习惯.
Step 3: Consolidation
1. Ask some pairs to read in roles or act out the dialogue.
2. Application has knowledge, compiled a new dialogue and act
out.
【设计思路】将学生分组,每组提供相同的拓展语句,让其通过合作设计新的对话,培养学生主动创新的能力。
Step 4: Summary
T: Today we had a good time and we learned many new things.Who can talk about them?
(The students talk about what they’ve learned in this class.)
Step 5::Assignment of homework
1.Write the letters "Ii Jj" and the word "egg"
e the sentence “what’s the time ,please ?”asking the time and answering correctly .
【设计思路】课下练习写字母及单词,加深印象,巩固知识。
通过描述时间练习对话,提高口语表达能力。
