1.掌握12个单词:
drum/piano/violin/also/people/home/make/today/ center/weekend/teach/musician
2.掌握8个短语:play the guitar/play the piano/play the drums/play the violin/be good with.../make friends/help (sb.) with sth./ on the weekend.
3.掌握句型:Can you…? Yes, I can. /No, I can’t.
4.听力和阅读技能提升。

教学重点:

课前准备:
课件,听力录音,单词,笔记等提前发给学生预习。

教学过程:
Step1:lead-in
Give ss some music about some instruments,lead in new words: guitar violin drum piano,and phrases:play the guitar /play the violin /play the piano /play the drums Step2:exercise
Finish activity 1a, draw lines to match the words with the pictures.
Step 3:listening(1b)
Listen and number the words (1-4)in the order of the sounds you hear in 1a.
Step 4:pair work(1c)
Ask and answer questions about the instruments.
Step 5:listening(1d,1e)
1.Listen and circle the words and phrases you hear.
2.Listen again. Fill in the chart with the words and phrases in 1d.
Step 6:group work
Talk abou t what Bill, Cindy and Frank can and can’t do.
Step 7:before reading
Learn some new words:
people,also,home,center,musician,make friends,be good with...,help (sb.) with sth., on the weekend.
Step8:reading (2a,2b)
1.Read the three descriptions about Peter, Alan and Ma Huan. Underline what they can do.
2.Read the ads. Match the titles with the ads.
3.Detailed reading,read the ads again, answer some questions.
Step 9:reading(2c)
Read 2a and 2b again. Match each person in 2a with an ad in 2b.
Step 10:language points
1.also 的用法
2.help (sb.) with sth. 在某方面帮助某人
3.be good with 擅于;对于……有方法
4.make friends 交朋友
5.on the weekend = on weekends意为“在周末〞, 常放在句末。

Step 11:exercise
一、按要求写出以下各词或词组。

二、根据汉语提示完成句子。

Homework :
1.将今日笔记整理在笔记本上。

2.第三页的语法句子要能背诵,必须背诵给家长听。

3.熟读2a,2b的阅读,读给家长听,有能力的同学,要能背诵。
