(第三课时教学设计)
一、教材分析
1. 教学内容
本课时系教材《英语基础教程》(1)第九单元的第三课时,包括Language in use中的Grammar focus 部分,具体内容为:一般将来时的基本结构及常见用法。

2. 教学重点、难点

1. 知识目标
(1)学会并能套用一般将来时的基本句型
(2)学习一般将来时的常见用法:

(1)能套用一般将来时的基本句型并熟练运用。

(2)能根据不同情境正确使用一般将来时。

3. 情感目标能根据情境正确使用一般将来时,培养学生日常生活中形成良好的语言习惯。

三、教学步骤
Step One Lead-in
1. Check the homework in last period. Ask Ss to tell the benefits of one of the clubs to the class and write
down the benefits on the blackboard. The following sentence patterns may be used:
If you want to …,you need to …
One way to fulfill the goals is to …
If you join /come to … Club/Organization, you will/can …
Do you want to … ? … is your best choice.
… clubs can lead you to …
You' II improve your skill of…
You' ll experience the pleasure of …
(设计意图:检查上一课时布置的作业,复习所学词汇与句型。


2. Ss read the dialogue in Activity 5 and the text in Activity 8 altogether and translate the
follow ing senten ces.
What club are you goi ng to joi n? 你打算加入什么俱乐部?
Cook ing club is going to invite new members to experie nee the pleasure of cook ing. 厨艺部
正在招新,约你一同感受烹饪的乐趣。

(设计意图:通过翻译句子,为学生学习一般将来时的句型及用法做铺垫。


Step Two Language in use
1. Grammar focus. Ask Ss to read Grammar focus, pay atte nti on to the structure of the senten ces
in simple future ten se. Ss read aloud the example sentences altogether.
3)Explain the usage of the simple future tense with examples.
shall/will do和be going to do都可用来表示将来某个时间要发生的动作或存在的状态。

也表示将来经常或反复发生的动作,常与表示将来的时间状语连用。

shall/will do强调将要发生的事情或者可能发生的状况,如:
I hope you ' ll have a good journey希望你旅途愉快。

I ' ll study harder at English.我将更加努力地学习英语。

be going to do表示将要发生的事,强调计划、打算、决定要去做某事,如:
There is going to be a football game betwee n Chi na and Korea this evening. 今天傍晚将有一场中国对韩国的足球赛。

(设计意图:通过一般将来时的介绍及例句,了解一般将来时的基本句型。


2. In struct Ss to find out the sentences of simple future tense in the dialogue of Activity 5 and the text in
Activity 8, atte nd to the structure of simple future ten se.
What club are you going to join?
You' ll improve your skill of playing a music instrument and make many new friends.
You will experie nee the exciteme nt of making flash all by yourself.
Cooking club is going to invite new members to experience the pleasure of cooking.
(设计意图:让学生在课文中找出祈使句,进一步熟悉一般将来的基本句型。


3. Activity 11. Read and complete.
Ss do Activity 11. Check the answers and ask Ss the reason why they choose so. Explain the difference between the simple future tense and the simple present tense. Instruct Ss to understand that the simple future refers to the future. (设计意图:通过学生完成有关一般将来时的练习,进一步明确一般将来时的基本特征。


4. More examples.
1) Give more examples and instruct Ss to think about when and how we used the simple future tense.
Explain the usage of the simple future tense by giving more examples if necessary.
What shall we do if he does n '如果COm不?来,我们该怎么办?
We' re going to visit the museum tomorrow. 我们准备明天去参观博物馆。

2) Explain the structure of the sentences of simple future tense. Emphases that the negative structure is to add not after will or be, and the interrogative structure is to take will or be in front of the sentence.
Affirmative sentence: He will not go to see his mother every Saturday.
Negative sentence: I'm not going to do my homework this afternoon. Interrogative sentence: What club are you going to join?
3) Instruct Ss to classify the sentences of simple future tense on P102 into affirmative, negative or interrogative sentences.
A. Affirmative sentence: shall/will do; be going to do
I ' m going to join Cooking Club.
He is going to attend the English party this Sunday afternoon.
There will be a chess contest in our school.
B. Negative sentence: shall not / shan 't; will not /won 't; be not going to do
I won ' t take the computer class tomorrow.
C. Interrogative sentence: Shall / Will …ndctoEdo? … goi
Which club are you going to join?
What will you do tomorrow evening?
Will you go to the cinema with other club members? (设计意图:给出更多例子并通过归类,让学生对祈使句的句型结构有进一步的认识和了解。


4) Ask Ss to change the sentences on P102 into the other forms in pairs:
A. Change into negative and interrogative forms:
I'm going to join Cooking Club.
He is going to attend the English party this Sunday afternoon.
There will be a chess contest in our school.
B. Change into affirmative and interrogative forms:
I won ' t take the computer class tomorrow.
C. Change into affirmative and negative forms:
Which club are you going to join?
What will you do tomorrow evening?
Will you go to the cin ema with other club members?
5) Ask each of Ss to write dow n an affirmative sentence on their no tebooks, the n work in pairs with 3 Ss on cha nging forms of the simple future tense senten ces. One speaks out a sentence of simple future tense in affirmative form, the other two cha nge the form into n egative and in terrogative forms. Write dow n the sentences on the blackboard.
5. Activity 12. Read and match.
1) Ask Ss to read the sentences on the left, try to understand the meaning of these sentences and do Activity 12.
2) In struct Ss to find out the sentences of simple future ten se, un derl ine the structure and pay attention to the time with the simple future tense.
What will the weather be like this evening? It S going to snow
Will you eat out with me? But I ' m going to me my friend at the airport.
What'your pla n for this weekend? My family are going to have a pic nic.
Drink some hot tea, or you will probably have a cold.

Step Three Production : Activity 13. Think and write.
1. In struct Ss to atte nd to the time in the sentences of simple future tense in Grammar focus on P102,
underline the time.
He is going to atte nd the En glish party this Sun day after noon.
I won ' t take the comtpr class tomorrow.
What will you do tomorrow evening?
(设计意图:加深对一般将来时用法的了解,为下一步练习做准备,巩固一般将来时的句
型及用法。


2. Ss read the requirement of Activity 1
3. Ask Ss to tell the meaning of these phrases and make
sentences with the simple future tense with will or be going to , write down these sentences. Ask some of Ss to write the sentences dow n on blackboard and tell the class.
(设计意图:明确活动任务,为完成写作任务做准备,以进一步巩固学生所学句型和用法。


3. Ss complete the email on P104 according to the sentences they have made, use the first 3 phrases.
Ask some of Ss to read the email out to the class to share the pla n of the weeke nd.
(设计意图:检查学生完成任务的情况,确认学生对一般现在时的掌握情况。


Step Four Summary
In struct Ss to make a short summary of what Ss have lear ned in this period.
1. Structure of the simple future tense

Step Five Homework
Complete the email with the other phrases in Activity 13 on P104.
Complete the part “ multiple choice ” in the workbook.
