Step 1. Lead-in
Lead-in by discussing the following questions:
1. What time is it now?
2.What does Mr. Smith have for breakfast?

了解介绍早餐的常用语并学习相关的单词和Salad、cereal、bread、juice、sugar、tea.

Discuss the questions in groups. The teacher shows some pictures of different food, such as cereal, bread, salad, juice,tea.
Work with your partner and finish Exercise 4.

Let the students write a short note to introduce their breakfast, and remember to tell their favourite food and what they have for breakfast.
Read the text and decide the statements are true or false.
1. Mr. Smith makes a salad.
2. Jenny wants to put sugar on her cereal.
Finish the task in class orally.
Ask the students to talk about them for three minutes, and then let them present their result in class.

Listen to the tape and find the answers to the questions:
Ask the students to practice for a while, and then let them read their notes in front of the class.

Listen to the tape and finish Exercise 1 together. Read the dialogue again and finish Exercise 2.
