如何成为有礼貌的中学生英语作文
How to Be a Polite Middle School Student
Hey there friends! Today I want to talk to you about being polite when you get to middle school. I know middle school can seem scary with all the big kids and new teachers, but if you just follow some simple rules on politeness, you'll fit right in!
First off, let's talk about why being polite is so important. Polite people are a lot more likeable than rude people. Nobody wants to hang around someone who is impolite and disrespectful. If you're polite, teachers and other students will enjoy having you around. It will make your middle school experience a lot more fun and enjoyable. Politeness is also really important for making a good impression on people you meet for the first time. You don't want your new teachers thinking you're a disrespectful little brat, do you?
So now that we know why politeness matters, how exactly do we become polite middle school students? Here are my top tips:
Use Manners with Teachers
The teachers are the ones in charge, so you want to be extra polite when talking to them. Always say "please" and "thank you"
and don't forget to look them in the eyes when you're speaking. If they ask you to do something, don't argue - just say "okay" and do it. Saying things like "yes ma'am" and "no sir" is a respectful way to respond too. Don't call them by their first names unless they say it's okay. Ms. Smith or Mr. Jones is better.
Be Polite in the Hallways
With so many people walking around, the hallways can get crazy between classes! Don't push or shove your way through. If you need to get past someone, politely say "excuse me." Hold the door for people whose hands are full instead of letting it slam in their face. If you happen to bump into someone accidentally, say "pardon me" so they know it wasn't on purpose. Little things like that make a big difference!
Use Table Manners
The cafeteria is another place where you need to mind your manners. Don't talk with your mouth full of food - that's just gross! Chew with your mouth closed and don't burp or fart at the table. If you need to get up for something, say "excuse me" before leaving your seat so you don't disturb everyone. Compliment the food if you like it, and don't make negative comments if you don't - that's impolite.
Be Polite in the Classroom
While in class, be respectful of your teachers and fellow students. Raise your hand before speaking so you don't blurt things out. Don't interrupt others when they are talking. Say "pardon me" if you need to ask the teacher to repeat something instead of saying "huh?" If a student raises their hand, don't make fun of their question or comment. Being polite creates a better environment for everyone to learn in.
Watch Your Language
Part of being polite is watching what you say. Swear words are an absolute no-no in middle school. They make you sound rude and disrespectful. Along those same lines, don't insult or make fun of other students. Calling people hurtful names is extremely impolite. If you disagree with someone, find a polite way to voice your opinion instead of putting them down.
Be Considerate of Others' Personal Space
Now that you're getting older, you need to be respectful of people's personal space and privacy. Don't get right up in someone's face when talking to them - leave a comfortable distance. Don't read someone else's text messages over their
shoulder. Knock before entering a room in case someone needs privacy. Little things like that show consideration for others.
Okay, I could probably go on and on with tips, but I think you get the general idea! The key to being a polite middle school student is treating teachers, staff, and your fellow classmates with respect and consideration at all times. Use manners like saying "please," "thank you," and "excuse me." Don't interrupt others or use foul language. Follow rules about personal space. If you can remember to do all those things, you'll make it through those tough middle school years just fine!
It does take some practice to build good habits around politeness. You might slip up occasionally and be impolite without meaning to - we all do. The important thing is to recognize when you've made a mistake, and simply say "I'm sorry, that was rude of me." Apologize sincerely and then。
