Good morning, respected professors! It’s my great honor to be here for this interview.
My name is H uang Jiliang. I am 22 years old and I come from Jiujiang, a beautiful city in Jiangxi province. Majoring in Clinical Medicine, I will get my bachelor’s degree at Fuzhou Medical College of Nanchang University this July. Now, I’m trying my best to obtain a key to your university.
In the five-year undergraduate education, I have been studying hard and I was granted the scholarship every year. Through the five years’study, I have mastered both the theoretical knowledge and the basic clinical skills, but my knowledge of this field is still in a superficial level and this is the main reason why I decide to pursue my postgraduate learning here. I hope that by further study, I will be competent and skillful to deal with diseases in a professional way.
Generally speaking, I am out-going, open-minded, and warm-hearted. During the five years of my college life, I positively participated in various campus activities. Well, in my spare time, I like playing volleyball, fishing and reading. All these activities enrich my college life very much.
Furthermore, I choose this major because I want to be a doctor and help patients get rid of their pain. I dream to have a golden opportunity to study on your campus. Owing to my perseverance and hard work, I believe I can successfully realize my dream.

1、Why do you want to further your study instead of applying for a job?
考研原因（reasons for my choice）
There are several reasons accounting for my choice:
Firstly, I have been deeply impressed by the academic atmosphere when I came here last summer. In my opinion, as one of the most famous universities in our country, it provides people with enough room to get further enrichment .
Secondly, I’m long for doing research in Clinical Medicine throughout my life. I suppose this is the most important factor in my decision.
Thirdly, I think further study is urgent for me to realize self-value. Life is precious, It is necessary to seize any chance for self-development, especially in this competitive modern world.
2、Why do you choose to study in our university?
Firstly, your campus is so beautiful, like a garden, studying in your university is my dream
Secondly, I’m deeply attracted by the academic and scholarly atmosphere, as well as the youthful spirit of students in your university.
Most importantly, your university has a good reputation in field where my research interest lies and so many excellent teachers who have strong research abilities.
That’s why I choose to further my study here.
3、Could you depict your general plans for the postgraduate study?

I hope I can form systematic view of the Clinical Medicine. During the five years’study in my university, I become more interested in it. I believe if I can pursue my study here, I will have more access to the up-to-date information in the field.
And I’m sure there will be more chances here to put what I’ve learned from books into practice, thus smoothing the way for my future work. If possible, I will go on with my study for doctorate degree
In a word, I’m looking forward to making a solid foundation for my future profession after three years’ study here.
4、Could you tell us something about your hometown? 介绍你的家乡(about hometown)
My hometown is Jiujiang , a famous city with a long history over 2,000 years, Which is located on the northwest of Jiangxi Province. Many celebrities were born here, for example, Tao Yuanming, Huang Tingjian and so on. It has always been an important trading port along the Yangtze River. Today, Jiujiang is a rapidly growing city, with a vigorous economy and a unique culture. In addition, my hometown is also a tourist city well known at home and abroad and is famous for Lushan Mountain which is a famous summer resort.There is my beloved hometown.
5、Can you introduce your family to us?你的家庭(about family)
There are four members in my family: my parents, my 15 years old sister andme. My parents have done business in Thailand about 10 years, so I learned to live independently. My sister is in a Junior high school and her performance is very good. During my preparation for coming
here, my parents’love and support has always been my power. I love them and I hope in future
I will be able to repay them.
6、Would you like to say something about your university? 你的大学(about university)I am from Nanchang University which has a history of more then 90 years. It developed into a comprehensive university with generations of efforts, especially after the reform and opening-up. My college is one of the five major campuses of Nanchang University. There are about 8 thousands students in it. Looking back on the years I have spent there, I’m really thankful to her for enriching my knowledge and widening my view.
7、What do you expect to achieve during your study if you are enrolled into this university? If luckily I get the chance to learn Internal Medicine here, I will concentrate on the study and research in this field.
First, I will work hard to learn the theoretical knowledge and the clinical skills, constructing a solid base for my future work.
Second, I would like to do some practical work. Through this, I can get something that cannot be acquired from the textbooks.
I believe after 3 years of learning, my dream of being a physician will finally come true.
8、Why do you decide to major in Clinical Medicine?
First of all, I love my major. To be a doctor and help patients get rid of their pain is my childhood dream.
What’s more,Clinical Medicine is the only way to discover the disease. It provides various research materials for medical development.
So I hope I could have a better understanding in Clinical Medicine by studying further. This is a very important reason for me to take the postgraduate exams。
