教材分析：
本课时的内容为四川教育出版社六年级英语上册第3单元第1课第2课时。

本课的核心内容是学会了解物品信息和表达喜爱等，了解物品信息的句型“What do you call them in English？”“What are they for?”“What are they made of”及答语“They’re for...”“They are made of...”同时表达不喜欢的句型，“I hate bats and I’m afraid of ghosts”。

此外,根据课后阅读了解万圣节相关的知识，接触西方文化。

教学目标：
1、通过教学对话，培养学生的听力，朗读及表达能力。

2、通过教学有关万圣节的短文，培养学生的阅读能力，引导学生了解该节日的特点，接触西方文化。

教学重、难点：
1、对文本中Halloween，jack-o’-lanterns,follow,hate等词汇的识记、发音。
