中国令人惊奇的变化
China is going through some really big changes these days. My grandparents have told me so many stories about how different life was when they were young. It's hard for me to imagine!
如今,中国正经历一些真正巨大的变化。

我的祖父母曾讲述了很多有关他们年轻时生活与现在截然不同的故事。

我很难想象当时的情景!
When my grandparents were little kids, most people in China lived in the countryside and worked on farms. There weren't many factories or big cities back then. My grandma said they didn't even have electricity or running water in her village until she was a teenager! Instead of TVs and phones, families would sit together and tell stories in the evening.
我祖父母小时候,中国大部分人生活在农村,从事农业劳作。

当时工厂和大城市还不多见。

我的祖母说,她们村子一直等到她十几岁的时候才通了电和自来水!没有电视和手机,晚上全家人会坐在一起讲故事。

Life was very hard for them. My grandparents didn't get to go to school for very long because their families needed them to
work on the farm. There was a lot of poverty, and food was scarce. They told me people would sometimes go hungry because there just wasn't enough to eat.

Things started changing when my parents were kids in the 1980s and 1990s. China began building more factories and allowing private businesses. Many people moved from the countryside to the cities for new jobs. My dad's family was able to save up and buy their first TV! He says it was a huge event when they got their first black-and-white TV at home.

Now in 2024, China looks totally different. The cities are full of skyscrapers and modern buildings. Almost every family has TVs, computers, and smartphones. My school even gives us tablets to use for our lessons! We have high-speed rail that can go over 300 km/hour to zip across the country. China has become a global leader in technology and business.
现在是2024年,中国已经完全不同了。

城市里摩天大楼和现代化建筑比比皆是。

几乎每个家庭都有电视、电脑和智能手机。

我们学校甚至发平板电脑供我们上课使用!中国还有时速300多公里的高铁,可以飞快穿越全国各地。

在科技和商业领域,中国已成为全球领先的国家。

The changes haven't just been about cities and technology though. My grandparents say people's lives have improved in so many ways compared to when they were little. Fewer people live in poverty now, and there's plenty of food available. We have better healthcare, and people live much longer lives. Girls like me can go to good schools and have big dreams for the future!
然而,这些变化不仅仅只是城市和科技的发展。

与我祖父母小时候相比,人们的生活在许多方面都得到了改善。

现在穷人更少了,食物也很充足。

我们有了更好的医疗保健,人们的寿命也大大延长。

像我这样的女孩也能上好学校,为将来树立远大理想!
My favorite change that my parents told me about is how much more freedom people have now. They said when they were kids, you couldn't really travel or move wherever you wanted to in China. But these days, we can easily go on trips around the country and even travel to other parts of the world! There are also so many more opportunities for people to pursue their interests and start their own businesses.
我最喜欢父母告诉我的一个变化是:如今人们拥有了更多自由。

他们说,他们小时候,你无法真正自由地在中国境内旅行或迁居。

但现在,我们可以轻松地在国内旅游,甚至去世界其他地方旅行!人们追求自己的兴趣,创办自己的事业,机会也更多了。

Of course, China still faces many challenges too. Not everyone has been able to benefit equally from the economic growth. There are still issues with pollution and protecting the environment. My parents hope China can find solutions to problems like these, while also keeping its amazing culture and traditions alive.

并非所有人都能同等分享经济增长的成果。

Overall though, I'm just amazed by the incredible transformation China has gone through in the lifetimes of my grandparents and parents. Who knows what other big changes I'll see in my own lifetime? China is a rapidly changing, dynamic, and more and more influential country on the world stage. I'm proud to be growing up during such an exciting time! I wonder what the future will hold?
不过总的来说,在我祖父母和父母的有生之年,中国发生的非凡变革实在令我惊叹。
