一提到雅思写作，很多学生第一反应就是“难”，如临大敌。

但其实，这是个“会者不难”的问题。

写作考试的目的是检查学生对于英语基本功的掌握，希望他们在进入国外的时候能够顺利的适应国外的学习生活。

但是，从写作本身而言，它也是在考察学生的知识面，以及学生的逻辑思维能力和应变能力;而这个知识面涵盖了社会各个领域，大到国家政策经济发展科学研究，下到家庭生活伦理关系。

于是，平时涉猎不多或者乏于练习的学生才会在看见题目的时候不知所措。

即便是语言功底很好的学生，也突然变得笨嘴拙舌不知如何下笔了。

其实大可不必。

原因很简单，就算题目再诡异，题目阐述的事情都是客观存在的，否则就不具备阐述的首要条件，那就是有理可据。

既然是客观存在的，那么题目所阐述的观点和现象就会有产生的背景，这个背景可以是社会的，也可以是由经济科技发展造成的，更可以是人为使然。

于是乎，有因就必有果。

只有要了结果，换句话说，就是问题出现了，那么生活在社会里的各个群体都会因此受到一定的影响，这些影响可以是正面的，也可以是负面的。

写作论证过程自然就出来了：原因--结果--影响。

根据往年的题目汇总，雅思写作的话题可以分为以下几类，即：政府、经济、科技、环境、媒体、教育、工作、家庭、健康、旅游、犯罪，这些话题是客观存在于社会中的。

不管哪一个类别，人都起到了重要的作用，人都会受到影响。

所以，在考虑论点的时候，人就是首要考虑的因素。

以社会中的人为视角放射至社会各个领域逐个查找原因，相关的勾连起来，不相关的果断删除。

那么，整个论证框架就出现了。

最后，考生要做的，就是练习，详细梳理往年题目的论证框架，好思维也比不上烂笔头。

做到这些，当再看到写作题目的时候，相信考生会坦然很多。

雅思语法使用误区五、compare与contrast的误用
我们先从两者的定义入手来看两者的区别。

Compare的定义为：to e某amine people or things to see how they are similar or different. Contrast的定义为：to compare two or more things to show the difference between them。

由定义不难看出前者侧重于找到两个或多个事物的异同，而后者则侧重于它们的不同。

看个例句：
It is interesting to compare their situations to ours./It is interesting to contrast their situations to ours。

前一句翻译为：对比一下我们的情况与他们的情况会很有趣。

后一句的翻译为：我们的情况与他们的情况有很大的不同，这很有趣。

再看一个引自O某FORD D ’S ARY的例子：
There is an obvious contrast between the culture of East and West。

The company lost $7 million in contrast to a profit of $6.2 million a year earlier。

When you look at their new system， ours seems very old-fashioned by contrast。

不难发现，Compare翻译为“与。

相比”而contrast可译为“明显不同的是。
