My Amazing Party!

Hey friends! I'm throwing the biggest, bestest party ever and you're all invited! It's going to be the party of the year - no, the party of the century! My mom said I can have it in our backyard next Saturday from 2pm to 6pm.
You have to come because it's going to be soooo much fun! First, we're going to play tons of awesome games like tag, hide and seek, and my favorite - red rover! I'm the master at red rover and no one can ever break through my super strong line. You'll see!
Then we'll have a huge bouncy castle to jump around in. My dad is renting the biggest one they have with a slide and everything! We can take turns doing crazy flips and seeing who can jump the highest. Just be careful because last year Tommy broke his arm when he tried to jump from the top. Oops!
After we're tired out from all that running and bouncing, we'll take a break for some tasty treats. My mom is making her famous double chocolate brownies and we'll have all kinds of chips, pretzels, and soda to munch on. She might even let us have a little ice cream if we're good!
The best part is going to be the magic show though! I hired a real life magician to come perform all kinds of crazy tricks. He can make things disappear, read minds, and maybe even saw
someone in half! As long as we're all on our best behavior, he said he'll let some of us go up on stage and be part of the act. I call dibs on being sawed in half!
After the magic show, we'll play some more games like musical chairs and freeze dance. Whoever loses musical chairs has to do a silly dance in front of everyone! My little sister always cries when she loses but I'll be sure to laugh extra hard at anyone who has to dance.
Finally, to wrap up the best party ever, we're all going to campout in the backyard overnight! My dad is going to let us roast marshmallows over the firepit and we can tell scary stories. I've got some really spooky ones to terrify everyone with. Just don't wet your sleeping bag!
So you'd better be there next Saturday or you're going to miss out on the funnest time ever! Ask your parents now and tell them they have to say yes because it's my birthday party too. Kind of. Inviting Friends to My Awesome Party!
Hi there! My name is Lily and I'm 10 years old. I'm so excited because my birthday is coming up soon and my parents said I can have a party! Parties are the best, especially when you get to invite all your friends over for fun, games, cake, and presents. But inviting people to your party isn't as easy as it might seem. There's a lot to think about!
First, you have to decide who to invite. When I first started making my guest list, I wrote down every single person I know - my friends from school, neighbors, cousins, and even kids from different classes that I don't really talk to that much. But then my mom told me our house isn't big enough for that many people. She said I should only invite my closest friends who I really want to have there. That made sense, but it was really hard to choose!
After going through the list a few times, I finally decided on 8 friends to invite to my party. I made sure to pick the girls I'm closest with and who I know will have fun together. Parties are way more fun when your good friends are there. Although I felt a little bad leaving some people out, I know it's better to have a smaller party with just your bestie rather than a huge crowd of people you don't know that well.
The next big decision was how to invite everyone. These days, you can just text or email invitations which is really easy.
But I wanted my invitations to be more special than that. My mom took me to the store to pick out nice invitation cards. I found some really pretty ones with balloons and cake on them. They even had matching envelopes!
On the invitations, you're supposed to put the time, date, and place for the party. My party is going to be on Saturday, June 18th from 2pm to 5pm at my house. I wrote those details really neatly on the invitations. I also wrote a little note to each friend saying how much I'd love for them to come to my party and celebrate with me. Adding a personal message makes it feel more special.
After I finished writing out all the invitations, it was time to hand them out. For my friends at school, I just gave the invitations to them in class. But I had to go to each of their houses to drop off the invitations for the neighbors and family friends who don't go to my school. I also stuck one invitation in the mail for my cousin Abby who lives in another town. Make sure to get those out early so people have time to make plans!
While I was waiting to hear back from everyone, I was really anxious about who would say yes and who would have to miss my party. What if none of my friends could come? That would be so sad. I didn't need to worry though - everybody said yes! I was
so happy and relieved. A party with none of your friends there wouldn't be much fun at all.
With the guest list all set, it was time to start planning out what we would actually do at the party. Having activities and games makes the party way more exciting than just sitting around. First off, we'll play some games in the backyard like freeze dance, musical chairs, and hot potato. Running around and being silly is the best!
Then we'll go inside for pizza, cake, and presents. Watching your friends open the gifts you got them is one of the most fun parts. I hope they like the craft kits, books, and little toys I picked out! While we eat, we can watch a fun movie and hang out.
At the end, I'm going to give out favor bags to all my friends as a thank you gift from me. I found these really cool bags with animals on them and I filled them with stickers, candy, bubbles, and mini diaries. Everybody loves getting little prizes and treats!
I honestly can't wait for my party. Having all my besties together to celebrate my birthday is going to be the best. The only hard part was deciding who to invite and then making sure they could all come. But now that everything is planned out, I just know we're going to have an awesome time!
