一教学理念:

二教材分析
本课讲述海伦凯勒的成长历程以及成就,以海伦凯勒的生平事件为主线,来展开教学活动。

这是一篇阅读课,通过阅读使学生了解海伦凯勒。

三学情分析
九年级学生特别应该树立正确的价值观,人生观。

在这个关键的阶段,在学习上他们还需要更坚定的信念和毅力,而这篇课文可以很好的树立一个榜样。

通过阅读课文,学生不仅学习如何用英语表述名人的生平,也可以学习名人的伟大品质。

四教学目标
1)知识目标
1 学习四会单词writer blind deaf illness ability progress community 掌握词组make a lot of progress
2 学会用when ;after;before;as 连词造含有时间状语从句的复合句。

3 了解定语从句。

2)能力目标
1情感、态度和价值观:
通过本节课的学习,教育学生对生活具有积极向上的态度,培养学生正确的人生观和价值观,帮助学生形成积极的情感态度,主动思维,大胆表述,提高语言的实际运用能力。

五教学方法
1 教学方法本课采用任务型阅读教学法,用If you are a disabled person, what do you do ?这个问句,引出谈论假想情况的话题。

采用提问、启发、讨论和归纳的教法,让学生易于接受教材内容,理解阅读内容,培养学生的语言运用能力。

小组合作学习。

将学生分成若干小组,四人为一组。

采用小组讨论,小组操练,小组督促反馈的形式进行教学活动
2 教学辅助用具:电脑多媒体ppt,录音机
Step 1 Leading-in
Ask and answer. Show three questions to the students and ask them to answer.
1 Have you heard of Helen Keller? What do you know about her?
2 What can you learn from her?
3 Do you know any sign language?
Purpose : Get acquaintance and arouse students’inerest in the topic.
Step 2 Presentation.
Activity : 1 Before the class, divide the students into groups. One group is made up of four students. 2 Show the new words that include spelling,chinese and phonetic symbols to the student. Ask the students try to pronounce them by themselves in groups. One of the group says Chinese, and the second of the group tries pronouncing a new words. The third of the group tries it again. The fourth judges right or wrong. 3 Let the students spend several minutes practice spelling and pronouncing the new words, and then cover the spelling of the new words and ask the students to spell the words in group.

After learning new words, do Part Two in “Let’s Do It” in Page 25. Ask the students to fill in the blanks with the words in the box in groups.
And then fill in the blanks on the screen.

Step 3 Read and learn about the text.
1 Give the students some time to let them read the text quietly. And then they answer the questions in Part One on Page 25.
2 Ask the students to find the following phrases in the text.
