pictures.
Now let’s go to page 8 to see their pictures.
■Listening and vocabulary
1 Match the words with the pictures.
On page 8 you see nine pictures. Now look and match the words with the pictures.
Picture1→sing Picture 2→swim Picture 3→ ride a bike Picture 4→ride a horse Picture
5→play the piano Picture 6→play basketball Picture 7→play football Picture 8→play table
tennis Picture 9→p lay tennis
2 Look at the pictures.Listen and check(√)what Lingling can do.
Next I play you a tape recording. Lingling can do something. Listen and check what Lingling cando.
3 Listen and read.
Now we are going to listen and read.
Miss Li, Betty, Tony and Lingling are talking about something. Listen carefully.
Now let’s go on to read the conversation. While reading try to cut(断句)/ the sentences into parts, blacken(涂黑)the predicates, shade(加影)the connectives and underline(划线)the expressions.
Now write all the expressions in your Expression Book.
4 Listen again and choose Yes(√)or No(×).
Now you listen again and choose Yes or No according to the conversation.
■Pronunciation and speaking
5 Listen and repeat.
We are going to do a pronunciation practice. Now look at the sounds and words on page 9. Listen and repeat after the tape recorder.

On page 9 you see a table with information. Now look at the information and ask and answer questions.
8 Work in pairs.Ask and answer. Find out what your friend can do. You are to ask and answer in pairs about what you can do.。
