3. In the 9th century,Invasion of Scandinavians(斯堪纳维亚人): many Scandinavian words came to English.
These three tribes landed on the British coast,drove the native people Celts (凯尔特人) west and north and settled down on the island. These three tribes merged into one people . And the three dialects they spoke naturally grew into a single language, the English language.
