Unit 1 What should we do before help arrives?
一、教学目标
1. 掌握词汇:broken, glass, stairs, aid, first aid,medical, imagine, bottom, at the bottom of, wrong with..., trouble, lift, lift up, harmful, drop,training, make sure, cover.
2. 掌握句型:
(1) This morning’s class is about first aid, or giving someone basic medical help.
(2) Let’s imagine an accident.
(3) A boy is lying at the bottom of the stairs.
(4) First of all, find out what’s wrong with him.
(5) No, that could be harmful!
3. 能够听懂关于如何做急救的对话。
4. 能够谈论突发事故以及应该采取的相应措施。
5. 能够辨认和掌握句子中的重读。
6. 能够培养学生在灾难中的自我保护意识和应对突发事件的能力。
二、教学重点及难点
重点:能够听懂并理解关于急救知识的对话。
难点:能够掌握谈论突发事故以及应该采取的相应措施。
三、教学准备
1. 多媒体设备和课件;
2. 设计课后巩固练习;
3. 教学图片。
四、教学过程
Step 1 Warming-up
T asks Ss to look at the pictures and fill in what they can do when they see someone in danger.
【设计意图】通过看图片,让学生思考急救的方法并填空,引出本课时新知识。
Step 2 Pre-listening
1. T asks Ss to say the words as soon as possible.
【设计意图】通过展示与新单词相关的图片,帮助学生理解和记忆新单词。
这种方式直观形象,学生易于理解和掌握。
2. T asks Ss to talk about the pictures with their partners. 【设计意图】通过两人一组,观察图片,借助关键词就每幅图片展开描述和讨论,让学生初步感知本单元的话题,同时为句型操练做好词汇准备。
3. Look at the pictures and learn the new expressions.

Step 3 While-listening
T asks Ss to listen to the dialogue carefully and answer the questions.

Step 4 Post-listening
1. T asks Ss to read the first aid suggestions and decide if they are good ideas (√) or bad ideas (×).
2. T asks Ss to complete the table according to the dialogue.
3. T asks Ss to complete the passage with the words in the box. 【设计意图】通过不同类型的课堂活动,帮助学生熟悉本模块的重点话题。
4. T emar point and the language point to Ss.
(1) 情态动词must, can, could表示推测
(2) That’s such good advice that you could be a doctor. 这个建议非常好,你都可以当医生了。
such ... that ...这个句型表达“如此……以至于……”的意思,such 后面接名词,名词前可以有形容词修饰。
如果只有形容词或副词,则要使用so ... that ...这一句型。
【设计意图】本活动旨在帮助学生掌握理解语法和重要语言点的用法。
5. T plays the recording for the class and asks them to listen and underline the words the speaker stresses.
6. T plays the recording again and asks Ss to listen again and repeat.
【设计意图】本活动旨在帮助学生辨认和掌握句子中单词的重读。
7. Work in pairs. Ask and answer questions.
【设计意图】本活动是听力活动的输出阶段,以急救为话题,训练学生的口头表达能力。
8. Let Ss do some exercises to consolidate what they have learned. 【设计意图】通过练习巩固本课所学知识,考查学生对知识的掌握程度。
Step 5Summary
1. Words and phrases:

2. Sentences:

Step 6 Homework
1. Remember the new words and phrases.
2. Read the dialogue fluently.
