● A new stand-alone monitoring and reporting server based on IBM Tivoli Monitoring and Tivoli Common Reporting ● Monitoring/Reporting server installs on Windows®, IBM AIX®, and Linux86 ● Monitoring agent installs directly on some server platforms or runs on the monitoring server ● Uses Deployment Engine to install all components easily

There is no significant difference in the TSM v6.2 release.
TSM Real-Time Monitoring and Reporting
TSM Tivoli Common Reporting
● Integrated, common-reporting engine that integrates to IBM Tivoli Monitoring and Tivoli Data Warehouse ● Uses an agent to communicate with the TSM server and extract data from the TSM database and return this data to the Tivoli Monitoring server to be stored in the Tivoli Data Warehouse database ● Tivoli Monitoring will act as a monitoring application while the Tivoli Common Reporting portion of Tivoli Monitoring will report on the retrieved data ● Tivoli Common Reporting uses the open source Eclipse/Business Intelligence and Reporting Tools (BIRT) engine to report on the data using customized and standardized reporting templates provided by Tivoli Common Reporting and customized by IBM
