Unit 6 Detectives
Lesson 16 A Detective Story
本课是北师大版《初中英语》八年级上册第六单元，话题是“侦探故事、一位侦探小说家”。

本课是本单元的第一课，是一篇记叙性文章，在Get Ready部分了解了著名侦探及其所具有的优秀品质的基础上，本课主要介绍了一个侦探故事的前半部分，包括时间、地点、人物，以及事件发展的关键信息，引导学生根据推理小说的故事发展，进行推断。

本课的教学设计分成两个课时，第一课时采用任务型教学模式，学生首先通过自由讨论对著名的侦探人物---柯南的看法，学习wise, truth, clue等生词。

然后利用略读找出侦探故事中的三个中心人物信息的基础上，第二遍阅读获取故事的时间、地点、人物，以及事件发展的细节信息，训练学生在阅读中根据关键词直接获取信息和筛选信息的能力。

读后学生根据三个关键时间的问题，完成对侦探故事的前半部分的复述任务。

第二课时通过回想侦探询问的三个问题，引入本课的语法内容---疑问句转换为间接引语，通过观察和分析例句，发现并总结一般疑问句、特殊疑问句转换为间接引语的形式。

通过选择引导词和补全句子的练习，进一步体会间接引语的表意功能。

最后，在复述一个故事四个情节的过程中运用不同形式的间接引语，体会间接引语的语用功能。

Step 2 Pre-reading
1.LSs talk about what problems they always argue with their parents by presenting
the survey.
2.Ss talk about their feelings when they argue with their parents by questions: Q1: When you argue with your parents, are you happy?
Q2: Are you parents happy?
3.Ss think why we always argue with our parents by answering questions
