The Application of Information Technology in Education and Teaching
Hi there! My name is Emily and I'm a 4th grader at Oakwood Elementary School. Today I want to talk to you about how cool technology is in my classroom. It has really changed how we learn and made school a lot more fun and engaging!
One of the biggest ways technology is used is through interactive whiteboards and displays. Instead of just having a boring old chalkboard or whiteboard, my teacher now has this giant flat screen TV on the wall called an "interactive whiteboard." It's connected to her computer and she can display anything from websites to videos to games and activities right on the big screen. She can even write notes or draw diagrams over top of whatever is showing using a special pen or just her finger. It's like having a huge tablet or iPad up at the front of the class!
Speaking of iPads, we each have our own tablets that the school provided for us to use. We can access all sorts of educational apps, games, videos, ebooks and more. Sometimes the teacher will have us do activities or take quizzes on our iPads

My favorite apps are the math games where we get to compete against each other or race the clock solving problems.
