(2011·部分重点中学检测)With their weakening bodies, advanced age or increasing pressure of work or study, people have been advised and usually persuaded to have health care products. Do you remember your first time to take a nutritional supplement(营养补充品)? What was your first impression?

Years ago, as a young mom with two small children, I struggled to keep up with the demands of a busy life. One day, I woke up feeling so tired that I knew something had to change!
A friend gave me some Royal Jelly — an amazing substance from the beehive(蜂房). I was doubtful, but desperate... so I tried it! In time, I began to experience renewed energy and vitality(活力) like never before! Now, over two decades later, I travel all round the country, sharing my lifechanging experience. I'm grateful for the energy to keep up and love to share this wonderful discovery with others.

Ten years ago, when I was 73, my mind wanted to be busy and useful, but my body didn't. I became tired and lethargic(无精打采的). That's when my daughter Madeline tried to persuade me to try her special Royal Jelly. It made such a dramatic(巨大的) difference in her life, so she was sure it could help me too! Hesitating for 2 days, I gave in. She was right!
I no longer felt worn out. I had a new, youthful zest(热情) for life and I've been OK — thanks to Royal Jelly!
Lori on Dec. 25, 2010 10:27 PM
When my mom Madeline was introduced to Royal Jelly, it affected my life, too! Mom gave me some of her fantastic Royal Jelly. Boy, things did turn around! I had more energy and stamina(耐力) and was finally able to keep up with high school and, eventually, college activities. Today, I'm a busy mom i n my midthirties with two active boys and a new business!
I have enough energy to do it all! I'm glad I took my mom's advice.

(2011·教学检测)American children aren't the only couch potatoes with nearly one third of children globally spending three hours a day or more watching TV or on computers, according to the study of over 70,000 teens in 34 nations.
From Argentina to Zambia, Regina Guthold of the World Health Organization in Geneva and her colleagues found most children weren't getting enough exercise and that it made no difference if they lived in a rich or a poor country. “With regards to physical a ctivities levels, we did not find much of a difference between poor and rich countries,” Guthold said. “Growing up in a poor country does not necessarily mean that kids get more physical activities.” The study was published in The Journal of Pediatrics, looking at 72,845 schoolchildren aged 13 to 15 from North and South America, Asia, Europe, and the Middle East. The children were surveyed between 2003 and 2007.
The researchers defined adequate physical activity as at least an hour of exercise outside of gym class at least five days a week. Children who spent three or more hours a day watching TV, playing computer games, or chatting with friends —aside from time in school or time spent doing homework — were classified as sedentary.
The researchers found only one quarter of the boys and 15 percent of the girls were getting enough exercise by these definitions. A quarter of boys and nearly 30 percent of girls were sedentary and didn't get enough exercise with girls less active than boys in every country aside from Zambia.
Uruguay had the highest percentage of active boys, at 42 percent, while Zambia had the lowest, at 8 percent. Girls from India were the most active, with 37 percent meeting exercise recommendation, while girls from Egypt were the least active, with just 4 percent getting adequate exercise. Children in Myanmar were the least sedentary, with 13 percent of boys and 8 percent of girls classified as sedentary. The most sedentary nations were St. Lucia and the Cayman Islands, with 58 percent of boys and 64 percent of girls spending at least three hours a day in sedentary activities.
People show deep concern for kids' lack of physical activity in various nations. Why do they have a low level of physical activity? Guthold speculated(推测) that urbanization(都市化) could be a factor as well as access to cars and TVs.

Late that afternoon I took the train back to Sydney. There I found another surprise waiting for me. My room at the hotel had been given to somebody else and they had no room for me. Harkin had known my travel plans and had planned everything. How could he have booked the room only for three days? There was nothing to be done but to find another hotel. The waiters were happy to find me a new hotel, and when I said that I was happy to stay at the airport, thinking it might be cheaper than staying in the city, they suggested the Holiday Inn at the airport. There was one small matter: the room rate was DS| 300 per night. The best hotel in Katoomba had wanted only DS| 145. I asked if there was anything cheaper they might suggest but they warned that most hotels would already be full by this time.
The hotel was far from the train station, so I had to take a taxi, as DS| 25. On the way to the Holiday Inn, we passed a hotel just two blocks from the Holiday Inn that advertised a room rate of DS| 104. At the desk I asked if their room rate could go down a lot. “No, this is a 4star hotel,” the waiter told me. “In that case,” I replied, “I'll just walk the two blocks to the cheap hotel.” But she warned me that they were probably full and that if I didn't take the room, it might not be available when I came back. Finally, I decided to take the room.
The room itself was big, but the air conditioning couldn't keep up with the Australian heat. I couldn't get to sleep until about 1:00 am.
