Task教学设计
Ⅰ.Thoughts on the design
本节课是以读、写为主的任务型教学课的第二课时。

任务型教学应该以读引写,层层推进。

并结合本单元主题“家长与子女的关系”,对学生有文化及情感的输入。

首先通过指导学生寻找文章的主旨,然后以阅读一封寻求建议的信形式巩固阅读技巧,最后引出关于解决父母与子女之间问题的书信的写作,使本课教学在知识学习和人文精神、人生意义上得到提升。

Ⅱ.Teaching aims
After learning this part, the students will be able to quickly get the main idea of what they read, talk about problems common to teenagers and write a letter of advice. They will have a deeper understanding of the relationship between parents and their teenage children.
Ⅲ.Teaching procedures
Work in groups of four. Each of the group read one diary entry and find the main point. Then tell in turn what you have learnt after reading.

通过设计一张表格的形式让学生对题目的要求一目了然,并把学生分组讨论,让他们在学习中学会共同协作,发扬团队精神。


Read the letter and answer the six questions below it (on page 35) .
Answers:
His 15-year-old son refuses to do what he and his wife ask him to do.
His parents treat him very well, and his grandparents buy him many things.
His son is wasting valuable time during this important period in his life.
He wants to prevent upsetting the boy’s mother with an argument.
He is afraid that his son will fail at school, or worse.
He wants to know how he can help his son without harming their relationship. Ⅳ.Language points
Go through these four diaries and the letter to find out the following phrases.

坚持要求做某事。
