教学设计
一、教材分析:
本课是牛津英语8A Unit 7 Seasons的第一课时,是一节热身课。

本单元的主要话题是季节。

通过本节课的学习,学生能够了解有关季节及天气的英文表达以及不同季节的天气变化,对季节、天气有一个整体的认知,具备基本的季节天气常识。

除此以外,能正确地描写天气变化的词汇和句型,并表达自己所喜爱的季节。

谈论最喜欢的季节。

二、教学目标:
1. 知识目标:To grasp the new words and expressions --bet, foggy, rainy, snowy, with nothing on,
i t’s the best time to do sth.
2. 技能目标:To know some expressions about different weather.
To learn to talk about your favourite seasons .
3. 情感目标:To love the nature and the life by learning the four seasons.
三、教学方法分析:
1. 采用多媒体教学,让学生通过操作平板进行学习,不仅增强学习英语的趣味性,对不同
的天气有直观的认识,而且让每个学生都参与到课堂中。

2. 采用任务型教学法,培养学生自主学习的能力,综合运用知识的能力。

通过小组合作的
教学途径,培养学生的创新精神和将所学的英语运用于日常交际的能力,提高学生的语言能力和学习能力,让学生得到自我发展和个性发展。

四、教学过程
Step 1 Lead-in
1. Show a video about seasons. Ask Ss how many seasons there are and what they are.
2. Show a picture about the winter. Help students to find out the weather in winter.
Step 2 Comic strip
Which season is it? It’s winter.
Now, winter is coming. It is windy and Eddie feels very cold. What are Eddie and Hobo talking about?
Watch the video and fill in the blanks.
Step 3 Task 1
In winter, we feel cold. And in spring, how do we feel?...
1.Learn about different weather. Match the pictures with the correct words on the ipad.
Put the six words under each picture.
2.Sum up the rule. n. +y adj.
Now, let’s sum up the rule. If nouns about the weather add y or double the letter before y and then add y, they can be changed into adjectives.
Step 4 Task 2
Just now we talked about different weather in different seasons. Would you like to learn more about the four seasons?
1. Listen to an article about the four seasons and choose the best answers.
2. Read the sentences about the seasons.
Step 5 Task 3
I think all of you have learnt a lot about the four seasons, right? I have more questions about the four seasons. How long does each season last? What activities do we usually do and what kind of clothes do we need to wear in each season? I would like to see how well you know about the four seasons? Let’s do a survey.

Step 6 Part B
Four seasons make a year. Each season has its own beauty. Do you agree with me? Which season do you like best?
Listen to the dialogue between Simon and Ann and answer the questions
1. Which season does Simon like best? And why?
2. What can Amy do in summer?
3. Read the dialogue together.
Ask Ss to take some notes on PC.
Step 7 Summary
What would you like to talk about when you describe your favourite season?

It’s your turn to talk about your favourite season.
Make a dialogue about your favourite season.
e.g. A: Which season do you like best?

A: What do people usually do?
B: … And we usually wear… What about you?
A: My favourite season is….
B: …
Here is a table. It is for evaluation. Please read it carefully. When you describe your favourite season, you can talk about the reason you like it, the weather, activities and the suitable clothes in this season. Besides the four points, please try to talk about your favourite season correctly, fluently. Of course, don’t forget your feelings.
Step 8 Homework
1.Write an article about your favourite season.(At least 50 words)
2.Preview the poem about the seasons in Reading.
