二、Task 1 (总题数:1,分数:20.00)
Tension and anxiety are obstacles to effective learning. The ability to relax is just as important to success in school as the ability to read. Anxiety can cause students to forget chapters that they have read, to "go blank" at quiz time, or to fail to meet deadlines and to complete assignments on schedule. Anyone can learn to rid himself or herself of tension by resting the body, breathing deeply, and relaxing for three or four minutes before a test. Attention to details such as outlining, note-taking, and time scheduling will help free mental energy to work on the tasks of learning. Planning one day ahead on a pocket calendar will do as much to improve the grades of some students in memory or speed-reading courses.(分数:20.00)

The first aid (急救) you learn from a course is not quite like reality. Most of us feel afraid when dealing with "the real thing." By overcoming these feelings, we are better able to use the first aid to cope with the unexpected.
Doing your part
First aid is not an exact science, and is thus open to human error. No matter how hard you try, the casualty (伤者) may not respond as hoped. Some conditions might lead to death, even with the best medical care.
Giving care with confidence
The casualty needs to feel protected and in safe hands. You can create an air of confidence and safety by:
·being in control, both of yourself and the problem;
·acting calmly and reasonably;
·being gentle, but firm, with your hands, and speaking to the casualty kindly, but hopef ully. Building up trust
Talk to the casualty throughout your examination and treatment (治疗).
·Explain what you are going to do.
·Try to answer questions honestly to reduce fears as best as you can. If you do not know the answer, say so.(分数:20.01)

四、Task 3 (总题数:1,分数:20.00)
For many years, Hawaii has been a magic name to people who like to travel. People on both sides of the Pacific Ocean, in Japan and America, dream of seeing these beautiful islands in the middle of ocean. Their dreams always include at least one scene of a sunset over the ocean. In the tropical lands, the sun drops, like a ball of golden fire, into the sea, and it drops so quickly that you can almost see it move. The sun leaves behind a glow that light the skies and shines in the quiet water.
People often have a quiet, peaceful time—perfect for a leisurely walk along the water. This scene is not too different from the dramatic beauty that greeted the first strangers to these islands centuries ago. They were Polynesian people who came from Tahiti in canoes not much bigger than small boats.
They found the beautiful white sand beaches and the waving palm trees, but there were no giant hotels like the ones we see nowadays. The first people came to Hawaii nearly 2, 000 years ago, but skyscraper hotels were only built in the last 25 years. Now jet planes make it possible to fly to Hawaii for weekend from Tokyo or San Francisco or Los Angles. Wherever the people come from, they really want to see the original beauty of Hawaii. They want to see the lovely beaches
and the mountain called Diamond Head which is almost hidden by the tall hotels.

Dear Colleagues,
This is my last day in the office which means it is time to say farewell to you!
During the past few weeks I have received many kind messages, greetings and words of encouragement from you, my friends and colleagues that have made me feel both deeply grateful and sadly realizing who and what I am leaving!
IUCN has given me the happiest five years of my professional life—I would like to thank all the IUCN staff for this precious time.
I feel thankful to have been given this opportunity to lead the Union for a part of its extraordinary history. Throughout these five years I have felt both the respect and enormous trust that you offered me and I hope I managed to convey my trust in you all. I hope my successor will be received with the same open arms that welcomed me in IUCN and I wish him/her great success!
We have places to go and things to do so don"t let my stepping off the moving train distract you too much! I intend to remain an enthusiastic fellow traveler in the IUCN family.
With best wishes to all of you!
