thank you for, thank you to
一、thank you for 意思是“谢谢”。

对已经做的某事表示感谢用for引导出来。

例如：
She said goodbye and thanked us for coming. 她向我们道别，并感谢我们的光临。

Thank you for your kindness to me. 感谢你对我的体贴。

Thank you for showing me the path. 谢谢你为我指路。

二、thank you to 意思是“求你、劳驾”。

to后面接动词，表示对未发生的事表示感谢。

如果是I'll thank you to do sth.的话，则带有埋怨的口吻。

例如：
I thank you to lend me that dictionary. 请你把那本字典借给我。

——试比较：I thank you for lending me that dictionary.谢谢你把那本字典借给了我。

I thank you to be quiet while I'm speaking.我在讲话时，求你们安静点。

I thank you to leave me alone. 求你让我单独呆会儿。

I thank you not to follow me. 求你不要跟着我。

talk to, talk with
一、talk to “和......谈话”。

强调talk动作的执行者是谈话中“说”的一方，to后面的人是谈话中“听”的一方。

例如：
The man next to Bill was talking to him in Spanish.比尔旁边的那个人正在用西班牙语对他谈话。

（那人只说，比尔只听）
I shall talk to your father about your behaviour.我会跟你父亲谈谈你的态度。

二、talk with “和......交谈”。

强调的是双方互相“说”和“听”。

例如：
He was talking with a friend. 他在和一个朋友谈话。

I must talk with him. 我得和他谈谈。

such as，such...as
一、such as 作为固定词组有两种解释：一是相当于for example，引导同位语；另一是相当于like（像），此时起到一介词的作用。

当然such as还可以作为两个词来判断，such为代词，as作为关系代词引导定语从句。

例如：
They export a lot of fruit, such as orange, lemons, etc. 他们出口许多水果，比如说橙子、柠檬，等等。

Animals that gnaw such as mice , rats, rabbits and weasels, are called rodents. 咬的动物，比如老鼠、兔子和黄鼠狼都被称为啮齿动物。

A man such as he will surely succeed. 像他那样的人一定会成功。

Materials such as gold, silver and copper are conductors of electricity. 像金、银、铜这样的材料都是电导体。

We had hoped to give you a chance such as nobody else ever had. 我们希望给你一次机会，而这样的机会他人是不会有的。

二、such...as “像......的一样”。

例如：
Such a voice as his. 像他的那种嗓子。

Such a colour as I want. 是我需要的一种颜色。
