Facing fame and fortune
Tagore once said: "When gold is tied to the wings of a bird, the bird will never be able to soar in the sky again." It is true. When the shackles of fame and fortune imprison the wings of freedom, when the pursuit of fame and fortune fetters the direction of progress, and when endless material desires confuse the pure mind, we lose ourselves in the prison of fame and fortune and become slaves of fame and fortune.
Wu Jingzi's "The Scholars" is a profound criticism of this pheno menon. Zhou Jin studied hard for fame and fortune, but he didn't even pass the exam to become a scholar. In his later years, he slammed his head against the board of the Imperial Examination Hall and cried until he lost consciousness. Fan Jin was also a scholar who was deeply poisoned by the imperial examination system. In order to pass the imperial examination, he did not hesitate to abandon his family, starved to the point of blindness, and even ignored his own father-in-law. What's more, some people, such as Zhang Jingzhai, fawned on Fan Jin after he passed the imperial examination, trying to get close to the powerful and get some benefits. Under the temptation of fame and fortune, these people lost the bottom line of humanity and became ridiculous clowns.
However, in the long river of history, there are also some people who can get rid of the shackles of fame and fortune and live their own wonderful lives. Qu Yuan is a famous patriotic poet in my country. He was unwilling to go along with the secular world and would rather throw himself into the Miluo River than "carry the rope and ink to chase the song, and compete with Zhou Rong as the measure". His "Chu Ci" has become a bright pearl in the history of Chinese literature, shining with immortal light. Li Bai is the "Poet Immortal". He is talented, but he disdains the intrigues in the officialdom. "Look up to the sky and laugh out loud, how can we be a weed man?" He traveled far away with a sword, elegant and free, and became a legend in the poetry world. M a
Sicong is a famous violinist. He insisted on "two-clothingism" throughout his life, and would rather live a simple life than indulge in glory and wealth. These people, in the face of fame and fortune, either disdain or stick to themselves, and their names have become shining stars in the long river of history.
In the face of the temptation of fame and fortune, how should we choose? To be a slave to fame and fortune, or to be our own master? The answer is self-evident. However, in real life, how many people can truly remain unmoved by fame and fortune?
In today's society, material desires are rampant, and people's hearts are eroded by fame and fortune, becoming more and more impetuous. Many people pursue fame and fortune by any means, even at the expense of their own morality and conscience. In pursuit of so-called success, they give up their ideals and beliefs and lose themselves. This phenomenon not only makes people feel sad, but also makes people reflect.
So, how can we find our own blue sky outside the world of fame and fortune? First of all, we must establish correct values. Fame and fortune are not everything in life. We cannot give up our principles and bottom line in pursuit of fame and fortune. We should respect our own hearts and pursue truly meaningful things, such as knowledge, wisdom, friendship, love, etc. Secondly, we must maintain a normal heart. Fame and fortune are external things, and they cannot represent our values and happiness. We cannot lose our joy and happiness because of the pursuit of fame and fortune. We must learn to find fun in ordinary life. Finally, we must learn to stick to ourselves. In the face of the temptation of fame and fortune, we must keep a clear head and stick to our beliefs and principles. We cannot go with the flow, we cannot be swayed by the opinions and views of others, and we must stick to our own choices.
"Don't be surprised by praise or criticism, just watch the flowers in the courtyard bloom and fall; don't care about staying or leaving, just follow the clouds in the sky." There is a blue sky outside the world of fame and fortune.
Let us get rid of the shackles of fame and fortune and be a free, happy and valuable person.。
