介绍自己的消费习惯英语作文初中
My Spending Habits as a Middle Schooler
Hi there! My name is Jamie and I'm an 11-year-old in the 6th grade. Today I want to tell you all about how I spend my money and what kinds of things I like to buy. Get ready for an inside look at a middle schooler's consumer habits!
Let me start by saying that I don't actually have a ton of money to spend. I get a small allowance from my parents each week - usually around 10. Sometimes I'll earn a bit of extra cash by doing chores around the house or helping my neighbors with yard work. But for the most part, that 10 allowance is what I have to work with.
So what do I spend it on? Well, like most kids my age, I really enjoy things like snacks, toys, games, books, and fun activities with friends. Those are probably my biggest "expenditures" if you want to use a fancy word like that.
When it comes to snacks, I absolutely love chips, candy, chocolate, and soda. I know those aren't the healthiest things in the world, but they just taste so good! Whenever I have a few dollars burning a hole in my pocket, you can bet I'll head to the
convenience store and grab a bag of Doritos, a Snickers bar, and an ice-cold Coke. Mmm mmm!
Okay, next up are toys, games, and books. I'm a huge fan of anything involving adventure, action, sports, and just being active in general. So toys like Nerf guns, super soakers, frisbees, and bouncy balls are right up my alley. I have an endless amount of energy, so I need toys that can keep up with me!
For games, I really enjoy stuff like Uno, Guess Who, Battleship, and pretty much any type of video game you can imagine. I'm a bit of a gamer geek, so if there's a hot new Nintendo or PlayStation game out, you'd better believe I'm bugging my parents for it. I'll put in a ton of time playing games like Super Smash Bros, Mario Kart, and Call of Duty. My parents have to literally pull me away from the TV sometimes!
With books, I go through phases of what genres I'm into. Sometimes I'll be really obsessed with fantasy stories full of magic, dragons and wizards. Other times, I can't get enough of books about real life kids going on crazy adventures and getting into mischief. Stuff like Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Harry Potter, Percy Jackson - those types of book series are my jam.
I also have to mention that I spend a decent chunk of my money on activities and hanging out with friends. Like going to
the movies, the bowling alley, the trampoline park, miniature golfing - anywhere that allows us to run around like maniacs and have a total blast. My friends and I will pool our money together so we can do something fun every weekend if possible.
Speaking of friends, I also enjoy just buying silly little trinkets or gag gifts for them sometimes. You know, like those cheap novelty toys you can find at Spencer's? Things like whoopee cushions, fake vomit, chattering teeth, and other dumb little novelty items. We think that kind of humor is hilarious at this age. I've wasted so many dollars on junk like that, but it's worth it for the laughs!
Well, there you have it - a full rundown of how this middle schooler likes to spend his money. As you can see, most of it goes towards fun, entertainment, snacks, and goofing off with friends. Which makes total sense, because what else is a kid supposed to spend money on at this age?? We're just out here trying to have a good time without a care in the world!
