Once upon a time in a big city, lived a rich man named
'Mahendra'. He was the richest person in the whole city.
One day, an old man read about Mahendra in the
newspaper. The old man went to his house. The old man
said, "Dear Mahendra, if you have so much money, then
why don't you give it to the poor people?" Mahendra
asked , "Why"? The old man explained him that if he
would share his money with other people, then everyone
would have money. The poor people can also buy food
and clothes. Mahendra said, "No". Then the old man
thought that , "This man will not understand; I must go
now." So, the man went.
Then other day, his father came.
His father also explained the same thing. But he didn't
listen to anybody. One day, the Prime minister did
demonetization(使货币废止停止流通) of 500 and 1000
rupee notes(卢比纸币). Then the poor people got first in
the line to get the new notes. All the people got new notes
except Mahendra. His half of the time was wasted in
collecting all the 500 and 1000 rupee notes and other time
in travelling because his house was far away from the
bank. So, when he reached the bank, it was closed and all
the new notes were finished. So in this way everyone had
more money then Mahendra and he had to go to jail
because he had not given the notes on time.

Why does a child become selfish?
The feeling of neglect(忽视) can make a child selfish. When a child is angry, sad, or worried, and nobody pays attention to him, he may start focusing on(关注)himself without caring about others.
When a child is jealous(嫉妒) of somebody, he may
become selfish.
When a parent or some other family member acts selfish, the child may follow their behaviour.
When a kid doesn’t know how to understand other’s emotions(情绪).
We can teach the child to become a helpful person.
