五、任务型阅读
A.阅读下面短文根据短文内容完成表格中所缺信息,每空一词。
(每小题1分,计10分)When you are not at home, many worries may start to crowd your mind. Did I turn the coffee maker off? Did I lock the door? Are the kids doing their homework or watching television? With a smart home, you can quiet all of these worries.
A smart home is a home with a communication network. This network connects devices(装置),such as lights and TV sets, and allows them to be controlled from far away through electrical wiring, mobile phone communication or WiFi over the Internet.
More and more people may start to think about owning a smart home, because it makes life much more convenient(方便的). It can help keep your room at a certain temperature. It can record what happens inside the home and send the video to your phone. When you are on a holiday in another country, you can use a smart home controller to turn on or off the electricity when necessary. Some smart homes can receive a visitor, allowing him to come in and giving him a drink. They can even feed the cat and water the plants.
Besides, smart homes are easy to fix. Most smart home technology and devices are wireless and can be set up with a few tools, using only the guiding information. When a problem appears, you can deal with it yourself without paying for someone to repair it.
However, for home-users, the smart home technology is far from perfect. It can be rather expensive to own the technology and the devices. Also, because the smart home system allows its owner to get home information from anywhere, it leaves the home easy to be attacked by hackers, who may secretly use or change the information in the system. This may put your home in danger.
Now, many scientists are excited at the future of smart home technology. Imagine being able to get
fashion advice from your mirror, or receive food shopping suggestions from your fridge. While there are others who worry that those smart devices will make people lazier and lonelier. Whatever it is , one thing is for sure---smart home technology will change the way we live and work.

听力原文:
A good dictionary is an important tool. It will tell you not only what a word means but also how it is used.
A dictionary needs to be printed again about every ten years. Languages develop and a good dictionary must show these changes.
A new English dictionary will only tell you how most people use the language today. It will not tell you what is right or wrong. It may tell you the right time to use a word. If only a few people use a word, a dictionary will either tell you this or not list it.
Every dictionary will tell you many interesting facts. If you type a word and the word is too long, look it up in your dictionary. All dictionaries show you where to break a word. And they also show you how a word
is spoken.

听力原文:
Dear Jack,
Thanks for sending me the snow globe of the monster. I love it. In fact I think it's probably my favorite. I've been collecting snow globes for seven years, and now I have 226 of them. My mom says I have to stop, because we've run out of room to store them. They're all around our apartment. I even store them in boxes under my bed. The first one I ever got was a birthday cake snow globe on my seventh birthday. I particularly love globes with animals. I have a big one with bears in it and another one with penguins. If you know anyone else who collects them, please tell me. I'd like to start a snow globe collectors' club. By the way, what's your hobby?
Love,
Ellen
答案:CABCA。
