How long have you not read a book well? I mean, in your spare time, you read books instead of playing games or moile phone.

So the topic of my speech is reading. It includes three parts. Firstly, The reasons of reading, secondly，which kinds of the books should we to read, Finally I will recommend（ruai ke man）some books that I have read recently.

The more books you read, the better your life will be. If you don’t believe me, please consider these four reasons as following.

你读的书越多，你的生活就会越好。如果你不相信我的话，请考虑这十二个令人信服的理由多读书。

1. You will optimize [ˈɔptəˌmaɪz]your brain [brein] power

多读书会优化你的脑力

This shouldn’t come as a shock, but studies suggest reading makes you smart. Unlike watching television, which requires no thought process, reading is an active learning experience that will keep your mind sharp (even in old age).

这条理由应该在大家意料之中：研究表明阅读使人变聪明。读书不像看电视，看电视不需要有思维活动过程，阅读是一个积极的学习体验，会让你的思维保持敏捷（即使到了老年思维也能保持敏捷）。

2. You will immerse yourself in a new world

你会沉浸在一个崭新的世界

Sometimes our daily life can start to feel dull, dry or depressing —I know it, you know it, we all know it. At times like this, I like to read an interesting book for a much-needed escape into another world, where I can forget about whatever problems are stressing me out. Whether

you want to travel to the land of the Hobbits,the universe or a romance story is up to you.

有时候我们在日常生活中感到枯燥、乏味或忧郁，我懂的、你懂的、我们都懂的。遇到这样的时候，我喜欢一头扎进好看的小说书中，我急需逃到另一个世界中，在那里我可以忘记任何让我感到有压力的问题。不论你是想前往霍比特人的土地上体验一下，还是想畅游在一个很遥远的星系，或是去往爱情小说中的热带胜地，都取决于你自己。

3. You will have things to talk about with others

在聚会时你有的聊

if you read enough books you will often say the sentence, “Did you know ________?”more often, making it easier to start conversations with strangers (or, as I like to say, “People who aren’t my friends yet”).

多阅读书籍会让你说这句话，“你知道____ 吗？”以这样的方式开始与陌生人对话比较容易（或者我会说，“那些还不是我朋友的人”）。

4.You can set a good example for your children.

Children always imitate their parents' behavior. If you read, they will read. On the contrary, when you play games, it's hard to ask them to study. In the other hand，if your child ask you ：“mami or dad who is Peterpan”if you readed story of Peterp，you can tell him confidently that Peterpan is a little child who never grew up, rather than quickly turn over your phone to look up it.

他解释我们为什么要读名著。我的结论如下。

If you don't know which kind of book you should to read。Choice the famous book. Why?

First, famous books are the most readable.

首先，名著是最易读的。

They will not let you down ,if you read them well. The have so much amazing good ideas. This is why you can read a famous book over and over again and never exhaust it contents.

如果你读得好，他们不会让你失望的。每一页的想法比大多数书的全部内容都多。这就是为什么你可以一次又一次地阅读一本伟大的书，并且从不浪费它的内容。

Second , famous books are always permanent.

第二，伟大的书籍总是同时代的。

We have studied hundreds of years in the dream of Red Mansions, but it is hard to imagine that hundreds of years later, our descendants are studying huaqiangu.

与我们称之为当代的书相反，因为它们现在很流行，持续一年或两年，至多十个。你可能无法回忆起许多早期畅销书的名字，你可能不会对阅读它们感兴趣。但是伟大的人永远不会被思想的运动或意见的转变所模仿。

Third ,famous books are the most instructive.

第三，好书是最有教育意义的。

Famous works can teach us too much. Believe it or not, they teach us to be kind, brave, confident and optimistic. They are the primary teachers of mankind. They have made basic contribution to human right .
