In the realm of literary creation, the art of crafting a compelling essay demands a multifaceted approach that encompasses both analytical prowess and imaginative expression. While the technical aspects of language and grammar form the foundational pillars of writing, it is the infusion of personal perspectives, cultural influences, and evocative imagery that elevates a mere collection of words into a tapestry of thought and emotion.Like a skilled painter blending colors on a canvas, the writer weaves together a myriad of elements to create a vibrant and engaging narrative. Sensory details, vivid descriptions, and evocative language serve as the brushstrokes that bring the written world to life, immersing the reader in the sights, sounds, scents, and emotions of the protagonist.Structure plays a pivotal role in guiding the reader through the labyrinthine corridors of the essay. Introductions establish the central thesis and provide a roadmap for the journey ahead, while body paragraphs explore specific aspects of the topic, offering evidence, analysis, and personal insights. Transitions serve as bridges, guiding the reader seamlessly from one idea to the next, ensuring a coherent and logical flow of thought.Tone, that elusive quality that permeates every word, plays a subtle yet profound role in shaping the reader's experience. Whether somber, playful, or thought-provoking, the tone of an essay can subtly influence the reader's emotions and perceptions. The use of figurative language, a literary alchemist's toolkit, transforms mundane expressions into evocative imagery, revealing hidden layers of meaning and igniting the reader's imagination. Metaphors, similes, and personification breathe life into abstract concepts, making them tangible and relatable. In the symphony of writing, rhythm and pacingcontribute to the overall composition. Sentences of varying lengths, like musical notes, create a harmonious melodythat captivates the reader's attention. Cadence, the subtle rise and fall of intonation, adds depth and emotional resonance to the written word. Finally, the essayist's voice, a unique blend of personal experiences, beliefs, and aspirations, permeates every aspect of the writing. It is this voice that gives the essay its distinctive character, resonating with readers who share similar sentiments or perspectives.

The graph below shows the proportion of the population aged 65 and over between 1940 and 2040 in three different countries.Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant. The graph shows the increase in the ageing population in Japan, Sweden and the USA.It indicates that the percentage of elderly people in all three countries in expected to increase to almost 25% of the respective populations by the year 2040.In 1940 the proportion of people aged 65 or more stood at only 5% in Japan, approximately 7% in Sweden and 9% in the US.However, while the figures for the Western countries grew to about 15% in around 1990, the figure for Japan dipped to only 2.5% for much of this period, before rising to almost 5% again at the present time.In spite of some fluctuation in the expected percentages, the proportion of older people will probably continue to increase in the next two decades in the three countries.A more dramatic rise is predicted between 2030 and 2040 in Japan, by which time it is thought that the proportion of elderly people will be similar in the three countries.大作文题目:equal male and female in every subject? Nowhere in the world has the issue of female rights and interests been so much debated as in our society.Nowadays, plenty of universities limit the number of female students who study in some of subjects;therefore, many people thinkuniversities should accept equal numbers of men and female study in every subject, but others have a negative attitude. As far as I am concerned, I think men and women should gain equal educational opportunities, but accepting equal numbers of male and female, in every subject, is unnecessary and impossible. Therefore, I disagree with the view that universities should accept equal numbers of male and female students in every subject. My argument in support of my view is as follows. The main reason is that mode of thinking is different between female and male.Everyone, male and female, has equal right to study in universities, nevertheless, due to difference of in thought and views.Men and Women may represent varied study capability.A case in point is that men may possess more talent than women in mathematics, physics and like stuff. In the study of language, on the other hand, female shows stronger ability than male.In the history of human beings, most scientists, especially those who research abstract theories, are male.Another reason is that nature decides different directions of development between men and women.Today, although female’s right is being increased, female still plays a different social role.Women are by nature good at house keeping since the biological function of a woman is first to bring children into the world and then to bring them up and it has been proved by some scientists that women are not good at business management, political administeration, etc.So, in the study of business and management, requiring equal numbers of male and female is not essential. From what has been discussed above, we may draw the conclusion that accepting equal numbers of male and female students in every subject is impossible and I also disagree with this point of view第二篇:剑桥11小作文test1C11Test1The charts compare the proportion of water consumption for different purposes in six areas in the world. It is clear that four areas--South America, Africa, Central Asia and South East Asia--rely on most water for agricultural use, at 71%, 84%,88% and 81% respectively. The percentage of industrial use is 5% more than domestic use in South East Asia while there is an opposite trend in the other three areas.Interestingly, Central Asia has the largest proportion of agricultural use among the four areas but the smallest consumption of industrial use.In contrast, water used in industry makes up the(half)largest parts in both pies for North America and Europe(48% and 53%).39% water is used for agriculture in North America and its counterpart in Europe is 7% less. Both areas have a similar percentage of domestic water use, which occupies 13% and 15% respectively.Overall, water is mainly used for agriculture in South America, Africa, Central Asia and South East Asia while in the other two areas, industry is the principal water consumer. What is worth mentioning is that, there is a more balanced water consumption in these two areas. Universities should accept equal numbers of male and female students in every subjects. To what extent do you agree or disagree? With the discrimination of women in every aspect decreasing, that whether the equal amounts of male and female students should be accepted by universities in all subjects has become a hot topic concerned by many people. There is no need to concede this phenomenon, however.Firstly, facing the examinations of entering the colleges, everybody has equal right to participate in the exam in which the universities can select excellent studentsbasing on the consequence. For instance, if 100 people of which 80 are all boys occupying the heading positions are assigned for one subject, it can not be denied that the university should admit all the 80 boys without any hesitation. The reason that abilities of people rather than the gender should be considered firstly is obvious.Secondly, as we all know, the proportion of women can reach less than 50 percent of all the population in almost every country throughout the world, which means that the probability of a man to be accepted by a college will definitely be smaller than a woman’s on condition that universities accept equal numbers of male and female students in all subjects. So that the number of male and female accepted by universities could be distributed by the gender percentage seems more reasonable. As far as I am concerned, the opportunity for each person to enter the college should be fair, no matter what gender universities select students in accordance with the proportion of gender.(254词)he or she is.And also maybe it is more feasible that第四篇:剑桥雅思8剑桥8 Test1-Task2Some people think that parents should teach children how to be good members of society.Others, however, believe that school is the place to learn this.Discuss both views and give your own opinion.Currently, an interdisciplinary study of children’s education and psychology is on how to cultivate teens to be good members of society.Personally, parents cannot take this responsibility alone but schools also contribute significantly. From my own perspective, the definition towards being a good member of society lies in two major aspects, namely perception on positive fundamental values as well as contribution to social development.Invariably, I believe it true and reasonable thatleaning core social values, like how to grow up to be a person, or even a good member of society always begins at home and is commonly accepted as the responsibility of parents.Given the fact that cognitive ability of children is far more immature before they reaching the puberty age, parents are accordingly obliged to guide them how to perceive the world at a very beginning phase, such as how to distinguish right from wrong, how to show personal respects and how to foster social conscience. Therefore, what is being taught by parents certainly lays a solid foundation for their later development as young adults. On the other hand, the learning process is continuing especially after they leave home for school where they access to knowledge and gain experience.T o better exemplify, teachers and students from backgrounds of various kinds broaden children’s horizons and enrich their knowledge, which they may not acquire at home.In addition, activities, such as conducting scientific experiments with group members, make it possible that they learn collaboration in group, communication with peers, and contribution to the whole experiment.Hence, it is reasonable to assert that school, as an indispensable element, equips them with professional knowledge and effective communication competence. In conclusion, learning how to be a valuable member does not stop when people leave school. It will take lifetime for them to define the true meaning of good members of society.Besides parents and schools, society as a larger context also is on duty to assist them in every way.

To begin with, the enrolment of men or women in each major should be dependent upon their respective academic performances and overallabilities, rather than some unrealistic percentage quota. There is no denying that some boy students do really well in majors such as education and literature but in general, the overall performance of girls is better. On the contrary, boys tend to do better in science and engineering.Given the differences in their inherent abilities,it is right to expect boys and girls to have separate academic pursuits.

But it is well known that the opinion concerning this topic varies from person to person. As far as I am concerned, I think all students should gain equal educational opportunities, but making equal numbers of male and female in every subject is impossible and unnecessary and unrealistic. In may point of view, there are two factors contributing to this attitude as follows: in the first place, the allocation ought to adjust to student’s interest and ability, it is obvious that male have competition in science and technology while female are more talented in the application of language, therefore, students learning the subjects which they are not interested may feel upset or not behave well.Another reason is that the nature law still chooses female plays a different social role, they are by nature good at house keeping and self-evidently give birth to children and bring them up. Although by the development of civilization the traditional customs still not changed. Furthermore, indeed, everyone in modern society faces fierce competition which the situation is complicated and changeable, also, the competition is becoming increasingly acute. An equal number of gender ratio will stimulate students building romantic relationship which in turn distracts their attention in study as time passing by.From what we have discussed above, we may draw the conclusion that accepting equal numbers of male and female students in every subject is no necessary and I also disagree with that point of view.WRITING TASK 1You should spend about 20 minutes on this task. The charts below show the main reasons for study among students of different age groups and the amount of support they received from employers.Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.Write at least 150 wordsWRITING TASK 2You should spend about 40 minutes on this task.Write about the following topic:In some countries young people are encouraged to work or travel for a year between finishing high school and starting university studies.Discuss the advantages and disadvantages for young people who decide to do this.Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.Write at least 250 words.WRITING TASK 1You should spend about 20 minutes on this task. The map below is of the town of Garlsdon. As shown in the graph, it is expected to have increments in the rate of old people .In 1940,the proportion of population above age 65 remained extremely low, as the figure of these countries stood at 9%(in USA),8%(in Sweden) and only 5%(in Japan). However by the end of the 1980 ,the number of old people in USA and Sweden had dramatically grown ,arriving at 15% and 14% respectively; by contrast, it had indicated a slight decrease in Japan ,then reminded approximate 3% in the corresponding period .Subsequently, fluctuation showed ,but had been predictedthat the rate of the elder was going to descend around 10% in both USA and sweden.
Task 1
The line chart indicates the percentage rates for population aged 65 and over from 1940 onwards with the projection of corresponding figures till 2004 among 3 countries, namely Japan, Sweden and USA.
It is noticeable that all the three countries display a general upward trend despite some slight decline occurring. In the period from 1940 to 1995, the tendency for USA and Sweden were similar increasing from 5% and 8% to 15% and 11% respectively. And in 1985 the elder group of people in both countries dropped by roughly 1%. On the other hand, the figure for Japan mainly went down during the same period.
The year 1995 witnessed a dramatic change, when Japan overtook USA and climbed up gradually and maintains this ranking till 2040 with 2% decrease between 2010 and 2025. In 2030, the people over 65 years old and above is predicted to rocket and surpass the other two countries with potential increase from 10% to 27%.
To sum up, we can find out from the curves that Japan will become a country facing severe ageing problem.(180 words)
Task 2
Whether universities should enroll equal numbers of male and female students in every major has become a heated topic recently among us. I am not in favor of the opinion that schools deliberately maintain the same ratio of males and females and the elaborations for my point of view are stated as below.
Those advocates might claim that it is the reflection of gender equality if the schools ensure to recruit equal males and females. However, in my personal opinion this is not a scientific method of implementing gender equality. Schools need take into account various factors, such as the different physiological features of both genders, the characteristics of individual traits and personal advantages and disadvantages, ect.. Take the major of engineering for example, a great deal of exploration and detecting work is involved in it and sometimes the task requires the people to go to far more remote and isolated places, which will become obstacles for women due to the constraints of women’s physique. Thus universities or colleges will enroll more men than women in this specialty. And this is wise to put right people in the right places.
On the other hand, both men and women have their strengths and weaknesses. Women are comparatively more careful and patient, so the majors like secretary, administration and human resources are fit for them whereas IT and industrial sectors will be good choices for men since they excel in analyzing and practicing physical work.
However, whoever possesses the capability and interest in a particular field shall have their rights
to choose what they are going to learn and what kind of people they intend to become. So I believe schools should accept students based on the individual abilities and the needs of society rather than the proportion of different genders. (301 words)。
