National Day is a widely celebrated holiday in China, and during this time, many people take advantage of the long break to go on vacation and explore different parts of the country. This year, I had the opportunity to travel to a beautiful city in southern China called Guilin.
Guilin is known for its stunning natural scenery, especially its karst landscape. The city is surrounded by picturesque mountains, crystal-clear rivers, and unique limestone karsts that create a breathtaking view. As soon as I arrived, I couldn't help but be amazed by the beauty of this place.
One of the highlights of my trip was a cruise along the Li River. The cruise took us through a mesmerizing landscape of towering karst peaks, peaceful villages, and lush greenery. Every turn revealed a picture-perfect scene straight out of a Chinese painting.
I couldn't resist taking countless photos to capture the beauty surrounding me.
Another must-visit destination in Guilin is the Longji Rice Terraces. These terraces, built into the mountainside, form a stunning mosaic of rice fields. The view from the top of the terraces was simply breathtaking. I marveled at the hard work and ingenuity of the local people who created such a magnificent agricultural landscape.
Apart from the natural attractions, Guilin also has a rich cultural
heritage. We visited the Reed Flute Cave, which is famous for its stunning rock formations and colorful lights. As we walked through the cave, it felt like we were entering a magical underground world. The stalactites and stalagmites took on different shapes and colors, creating a surreal atmosphere.
In addition to sightseeing, I also had the chance to experience the local cuisine. Guilin is known for its unique dishes, such as Guilin rice noodles and beer fish. I tried these local delicacies and was delighted by the explosion of flavors. The food, coupled with the warm hospitality of the locals, made my trip even more memorable.
