My Name is Emily and I'm 12 Years Old
Hi there! My name is Emily and I'm 12 years old. I'm in the 7th grade at Lincoln Middle School. I live with my mom, dad, and younger brother Jacob who's 9. We also have a dog named Buddy - he's a Golden Retriever and the fluffiest, most energetic pup you'll ever meet!
My Family
My family is pretty great. My mom works as a nurse at the hospital downtown. She has to work some long hours but she's really dedicated to helping people feel better. My dad is an electrician and owns his own small business. He's really handy and good at fixing things around the house. My little brother Jacob can be annoying sometimes but we have a lot of fun together too. We both love sports and being active.
My Interests and Hobbies
I'm really into soccer and play midfielder on a local club team. We practice twice a week and have games on the weekends. I've been playing soccer since I was 6 and it's my absolute favorite sport. I also enjoy swimming, especially in the summer when my family goes to the lake or the community pool.
Outside of sports, I really like to read fantasy and adventure novels. My favorite book series is Harry Potter - I've read all the books at least twice! I'm a total Harry Potter nerd. I also enjoy drawing and painting. Art class is one of my favorites at school.
School Life
Speaking of school, I actually really enjoy going to class and learning new things. My favorite subjects are English and history because I love reading, writing, and learning about places and events from the past. Math is probably my worst subject - I just find it really difficult to wrap my brain around some of the concepts. But I'm working hard and my teachers are supportive.
I have a pretty great group of friends at school too. My best friend is Sarah and we've known each other since 1st grade. We're basically inseparable! Sarah and I love having sleepovers, watching movies, baking, and just hanging out together. I'm also close with Aiden, Mia, and Josh from my soccer team. It's awesome to have friends who share my interests.
Future Goals
In the future, I'm not totally sure what career I want yet. But I know I want to do something that helps others and makes a positive difference in the world. Maybe I'll become a teacher, writer, scientist, or work for a non-profit organization. I have a long way to go before deciding!
For now, I'm just focused on being a good student, daughter, sister, and friend. I want to continue pursuing my interests and passions while working hard in school. Middle school can definitely be challenging with all the changes happening, but I'm trying my best to stay positive and make the most of this special time in my life. Thanks for reading and getting to know me!

My Name is Alex
Hi there! My name is Alex and I'm a 7th grader at Oakwood Middle School. I'll be turning 13 years old this summer. I guess you could say I'm right in the middle of those crazy tween years!
I live with my mom, dad, and younger brother Jake who is 9 years old. We also have a dog named Buddy who is a golden retriever. He's getting pretty old but still loves to play fetch
whenever he can. Our house is in a nice neighborhood with lots of kids around to play with. There's a good sized park just down the street which is perfect for bike riding, playing sports, or just hanging out.
In my free time, I really enjoy playing video games. My favorites are the latest sports games and first-person shooter games that I can play online with my friends. We'll squad up and play for hours, talking trash and laughing the whole time. My parents have to yell at me to get off sometimes because I can definitely get a little carried away!
I'm also really into music and play the electric guitar. I've been taking lessons for about 3 years now. It's a lot of fun and I'm getting pretty good if I do say so myself! I'm in the school band too and we perform concerts a few times per year which is cool. Maybe I'll start a rock band when I'm a little older.
Speaking of school, I really like math and science classes. Math just kind of comes naturally to me and science is fascinating learning about how things work. My least favorite is probably English because I find all the reading and writing assignments to be such a drag. I do decent in English but it's not my strongest subject for sure.
Sports are a big part of my life too. In the fall I play soccer which is probably my favorite sport. I'm a decent scorer and really good at assisting my teammates to put the ball in the net. During the winter I'm on the basketball team as a guard. I've got a pretty good outside shot! Then in the spring it's baseball season where I mainly play the infield positions.
My friends and I have a good little crew that we roll with at school. We've been buddies since way back in elementary school for the most part. We're all kind of sports jocks I guess you could say. We like to joke around and get into shenanigans when we can, you know how middle schoolers are! But we also know when it's time to get serious with our school work and sports too.
Family is really important to me as well. We're a pretty close family and do a lot of fun things together. My mom is hardworking but also the biggest goofball you'll ever meet. She's always cracking jokes and doing impressions that have us all dying laughing. My dad is more quiet and reserved but has a great sense of humor too. He's the disciplinarian in the family but also my biggest cheerleader when it comes to sports and encouraging me.
My little brother Jake and I have kind of a love/hate relationship, as most siblings do! One minute we're getting
along great and the next we're bickering about something silly. But at the end of the day, we've got each other's backs. Jake and I still share a bedroom which drives us both a little crazy sometimes with no privacy. But we make it work and have fun things like gaming tournaments or listening to music together.
I'd say I'm a pretty typical middle school kid who loves hanging with his friends, playing video games, and being active with sports and other activities. School is a grind for sure but I put in the effort to get decent grades. I get along well with my family even if we do drive each other a little nuts sometimes!
As I mentioned, I'll be 13 this summer which means I'm inching closer to high school before I know it. That's definitely a scary

My Name Is...
Hi there! My name is Emily and I'm a 7th grader at Lincoln Middle School. I'm 12 years old and I love reading, drawing, and hanging out with my friends.
I live with my mom, dad, and younger brother Tommy who is
9 years old. We have a dog named Buddy who is a golden
retriever. He's really friendly and loves to play fetch in our backyard. Our house is a two-story blue one with a big tree in the front yard that I used to love climbing when I was younger.
School is going well so far this year. My favorite subjects are English and art because I love writing stories and drawing pictures. Math is probably my least favorite, but I'm working hard to get better at it. I'm on the school soccer team which I really enjoy. We practice a few times a week and have games on Saturdays. I play defense and love being part of a team.
When I'm not at school or soccer practice, I spend a lot of time reading. I especially love fantasy and adventure novels where the characters go on amazing journeys and quests. My favorite book series is Harry Potter - I've read each book multiple times! I also really enjoy drawing characters, animals, landscapes, and anything I can imagine. My dream is to become an author and illustrator when I grow up so I can create my own magical worlds full of brave heroes and mythical creatures.
Speaking of imagination, I have a very creative group of friends that I love being around. We all met in 2nd grade and have been inseparable ever since. Lily, Ava, Sophia and I are always coming up with fun games and adventures to go on, even if it's just exploring the woods behind Lily's house. We're all
really different which I think is what makes our group so special - Lily is the artistic one, Ava is super athletic, Sophia is brilliant and loves science, and I'm the daydreamer always getting lost in books and my own imagination. But we all care about each other so much and love hanging out no matter what we're doing.
My friends and family are really important to me and help shape who I am. My parents have taught me to work hard, be kind, and never give up on my dreams no matter how impossible they may seem. They've been so supportive of all my interests and I know I can talk to them about anything. My little brother can be annoying at times (like all little brothers I'm sure!) but he's also really funny and adventurous which rubs off on me. It's never a dull moment in our house!
So that's a little bit about me - an artistic, book-loving, adventurous girl excited about the future and all the possibilities it holds. I'm so grateful for my wonderful family, friends, teachers, and all the experiences that have shaped me into who I am today. While I don't know exactly what lies ahead, I do know that I'll face it with an open mind, a creative spirit, and the unconditional support of my loved ones. The journey may not always be easy, but it will certainly be an adventure worth taking. Here's to making the most of these precious middle school years!

Hi there! My name is Jamie and I'm a 7th grader at Oakwood Middle School. I'm really excited to introduce myself and share a little bit about my life.
I live with my mom, dad, and younger brother Charlie in a cozy little house not too far from the school. My mom works as a nurse at the local hospital and my dad is an electrician who owns his own small business. They're both really hard workers and great role models for me and Charlie.
My little brother is 9 years old and we get along pretty well most of the time, even though he can be super annoying sometimes! We like to play video games together, especially Mario Kart and Smash Bros. I usually beat him but he's been getting better lately. We also love going to the park near our house to play basketball, soccer, or just run around. He's my best friend and we have a lot of fun together when we're not fighting over the TV remote or something silly like that.
In my free time, I really enjoy reading fantasy and science fiction novels. I'm a huge Harry Potter fan and have read all the books multiple times. I also love the Lord of the Rings series and everything by Rick Riordan. Whenever I get a new book, I can't
put it down until I've finished it! Reading allows me to travel to different worlds and go on amazing adventures without even leaving my room.
I'm also really into music and play the guitar. I've been taking lessons for about 3 years now and can play quite a few songs, although I'm still working on getting better. My favorite band is Imagine Dragons and I've learned a bunch of their songs on guitar. Maybe I'll start a band of my own someday!
One of my biggest hobbies is coding and computer programming. I've been teaching myself how to code for the past couple of years by watching online tutorials and taking a few classes. It's so cool being able to create apps, games, and websites from scratch! I'm hoping to get an internship at a tech company next summer to get some real-world experience.
Sports are another big part of my life. I play soccer on my school's team as well as for a local club team. Soccer has been my passion ever since I was a little kid kicking a ball around in the backyard. I love the thrill of competing and pushing myself to get better with each game and practice. My dream is to play soccer in college and maybe even professionally one day if I work hard enough.
School is really important to me as well. My favorite subjects are math and science because I find them challenging yet fascinating. I've always loved solving puzzles and problems, which is a huge part of those classes. This year I joined the math club at school and we get together once a week to work on brain-teasers and prepare for competitions. It's a ton of fun and the other members have become great friends of mine.
Family is hugely important to me too. I'm very close with my parents, brother, and grandparents who live nearby. We get together for big family dinners every Sunday night, which is my favorite tradition. My grandparents emigrated here from Italy when they were young, so we enjoy lots of delicious homemade Italian food like pasta, pizza, and tiramisu for dessert. After dinner, we'll play games, watch movies, or just sit around and chat. Those cozy family nights are times I'll always cherish.
I also have a great group of friends from school that I hang out with all the time. We love going to the movies, the mall, playing at the park, or just hanging out at each other's houses. A few of my closest friends and I have even started a little dogwalking business in our neighborhood to make some extra money. It's been a lot of fun getting to know all the neighborhood dogs and their owners!
Well, I could probably go on forever, but I think that covers most of the major parts of my life right now. Between school, activities, friends, and family, I stay pretty busy, but I wouldn't have it any other way. Middle school can definitely be challenging at times, but surrounding myself with the people and things I love makes it an incredible phase of life. I'm constantly learning new skills, trying new experiences, and preparing myself for all the adventures that high school and beyond will bring. I can't wait to see what the future has in store, but for now I'm just enjoying being a regular 7th grade kid. Thanks for reading my story!

My Name Is...
Hi there! My name is Jamie and I'm a 7th grader here at Oakwood Middle School. I'm really excited to tell you all about myself. I love writing and English class is my favorite, so this essay is going to be super fun for me.
Let me start by describing my appearance. I'm about 5 feet tall, which is pretty average for a 12-year-old. I have long, curly brown hair that my mom is always trying to tame. My eyes are green, which is kind of an unusual color. I have a sprinkling of
freckles across my nose and cheeks that really stand out against my fair skin. My friends tease me that I look like I have a permanent sunburn!
In terms of my personality, I'd say I'm a pretty friendly and outgoing person. I love meeting new people and making friends. I'm curious about the world and always asking questions. That curiosity sometimes gets me into trouble though – like that time I took apart my mom's hairdryer to see how it worked and couldn't put it back together! Whoops!
Speaking of getting into trouble, I do have a bit of a mischievous streak. I play a lot of pranks on my older brother Tyler. Things like putting plastic wrap on the toilet and switching out the filling in his Oreos. He pretends to be annoyed but I know he thinks I'm hilarious. What can I say, I was born a little comedian!
My family is really important to me. In addition to my mom, dad, and pesky brother, I also live with my grandparents, my aunt, and two crazy dogs named Biscuit and Buddy. Our house is always bustling and loud, which I love. We have big family dinners every Sunday night and the meal wouldn't be complete without at least one food fight breaking out. Don't worry, we always clean up the mess!
Some of my favorite things to do are reading, swimming, and playing soccer. I'm kind of a bookworm – I just got lost in the world of Harry Potter over the summer and can't wait to start the next series. I'm on the swim team at my local pool and working hard to make it to the regional competition. And soccer is my biggest passion – I'm the leading scorer on my club team and dream of playing professionally one day.
School-wise, I do pretty well. Math is probably my weakest subject – I just can't seem to wrap my brain around algebra. But I excel at reading, writing, history, and art. I really love learning about different cultures and periods in time. And art class is like a little oasis of calm and creativity in my otherwise hectic schedule.
Well, I could probably go on forever telling you about my silly family stories, tales from the soccer field, or my latest book obsession. But I'll stop here to give you a break! It was great getting the chance to introduce myself. I'm looking forward to an amazing year in 7th grade!

My Name Is Claude
Hi there! My name is Claude and I'm a 7th grader at Oakwood Middle School. I just turned 13 years old a few months
ago. I live with my mom, dad, and little sister Emma who is 9 years old. We have a golden retriever named Buddy too - he's basically my best friend!
I was born right here in this city on May 22nd, 2010. My parents met in college at the local university and decided to settle down close to where they grew up. I'm really glad we still live in the same area as my grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins. We get together for birthdays, holidays, and barbecues all the time. Family is really important to me.
In my free time, I really enjoy playing sports, especially basketball and soccer. I'm on the school basketball team and we practice a few times a week. I've been playing soccer since I was 5 years old too. My dad was my first soccer coach when I was little and he still helps me practice dribbling and shooting sometimes. Other than sports, I like reading fiction books, building with Legos, and gaming with my friends online.
My favorite subjects in school are math and science. I'm really into technology and want to be an engineer when I grow up so I can design super cool robots, computers, or video games. This year I joined the coding club at school and I'm learning programming languages like Python and Java. It's challenging but I find it really fascinating to write code that can create apps
and software. I'm awful at subjects like history and English though - I just can't seem to memorize all those dates and literature details!
One of my biggest accomplishments so far was completing a 5K charity run last year to raise money for children's cancer research. I trained really hard for months by running every day after school. The actual race was incredibly difficult but I persevered and finished! I was so proud and my parents were beaming. I raised over 500 in donations from friends, neighbors, and family members. I hope to run another 5K again this year.
Something unique about me is that I was born with heterochromia - which means my eyes are two different colors! My right eye is blue and my left eye is green. A lot of people think it's really cool and ask me questions about it. I don't mind at all, I actually really like having two different colored eyes. It makes me feel special and unique.
A couple of my biggest role models are my dad and Elon Musk. My dad works as a mechanical engineer and is super smart and hard-working. He's taught me so much about math, science, and problem-solving over the years. I really admire his dedication to his career. I also look up to Elon Musk because he's revolutionizing the technology industry with his fantastic
innovations in electric vehicles, space travel, and more. His ambition and vision for the future inspires me.
In 7th grade, I'm really hoping to keep working hard, especially in my math and science classes. I want to get straight A's this year! I'm also planning to try out for the school math team. My biggest goals are to keep coding and building my technology skills outside of school. Who knows, maybe I'll invent the next big thing before I even graduate high school! I'm excited for this year and to continue growing as a student and person.
Well, that's a little bit about me! Feel free to say hi if you see me around school or on the basketball court. Thanks for reading my introduction. Let me know if you have any other questions!。
