Our School Library is the Best Place Ever!
Our school has the most amazing library! It's my favorite place in the whole world. I could spend all day there if they'd let me. It's a huge room filled with books from the floor to the ceiling on every wall. There are thousands and thousands of books on every topic you can imagine.
My favorite section is the chapter book area. That's where all the novels and fiction books are. I love getting lost in a good story and using my imagination to picture the characters and scenes. My two best friends, Emma and Josh, feel the same way. We always check out the maximum number of books allowed and then race to see who can finish them the fastest.
Mrs. Robertson, the librarian, is really nice too. She's an older lady with glasses and gray hair tied back in a bun. Whenever I can't find the book I'm looking for, she helps me search the computerized card catalog. She seems to know where every single book is located! I don't know how she does it. The library is so huge, it would take me years to learn where everything goes.
There are big comfy chairs and beanbags scattered all around where you can curl up and read. I like to claim one of the window seats so I can look outside at the trees and clouds while I'm reading. It's such a peaceful, quiet space. No one is ever loud or rowdy in the library. We all know to use our indoor voices so we don't disturb anyone.
The best part is, you can take books home and read them whenever you want! I have a whole shelf in my bedroom just for library books. As soon as I finish one, I get excited to take it back and check out new ones. I don't think I'll ever get tired of our school library. There are always new adventures and stories waiting to be discovered between the pages of those books. I feel so lucky that we have such an amazing library right inside our school!。
