Step3.Pre-Listening ①Vocabulary Learning Learn the new words in the lesson (pay attention to the verbs in past form)and practice them in different ways. ②Places names in the lesson Ask them to pronounce by themselves and read after the teacher.

1.Teaching materials.
The first period. Listening and speaking. It’s a dialogue between Linling, Tony and Betty. They are talking about their holiday journey in past tense. And in this lesson we’re going to use the past simple Whquestions to talk about personal experiences. After learning this lesson ,students may lay a basic foundation for the rest of study in this module.
Purpose: To improve their listening skills for general information.
Step4 : Activity3 Listen and answer the questions on page61. Q1:How did Betty get to Los Angeles? Q2:How did Betty get to her friends’ home? Q3:Why was Betty excited at Disneyland? ……
4.Teaching key points and difficult points.
Key points: Master the new words (verbs)in past form, Understand the contents of the conversation Difficult point: How to use Wh-questions to talk about their holiday in the past.
Step2. Free Talk. Talk about An unforgettable trip. First , the teacher will give them examples by sharing her trip to the place. And then ask students to share their trip.
Step7.Homework Make a conversation by your own with Wh-questions.(when , where, how,what.who)
Purpose:To consolidate the knowledge after class.

Students are in Grade7. After one term study, they have mastered some basic skills for English learning in Middle school. But sometimes they lack of confidence and are afraid of making mistakes.

Purpose: To get detail information about the conversation and improve their listening skills for specific information on Wh-questions.
