The Most Interesting Club Activity I Participated in Middle School
In my middle school years, there were quite a few clubs and activities to choose from. Among all the club activities I participated in, the most interesting one was the Debate Club.
I remember how excited I was when I first joined the Debate Club. I have always loved expressing my opinions and arguments, and I saw the club as a perfect platform for me to practice and improve my debating skills.
The club meetings were held once a week, and each meeting would have a different topic for debate. The topics ranged from serious global issues like climate change and human rights to more light-hearted topics like whether dogs or cats make better pets.
One of the things I loved the most about the Debate Club was the friendly and supportive atmosphere. Everyone was encouraged to participate and express their opinions, regardless of their debating skills or experience. We would split into teams and prepare our arguments before the debates, and it was
always interesting to see the different perspectives and arguments that my teammates came up with.
The debates themselves were always lively and engaging. We had a strict set of rules to follow, and each team had to make their arguments logically and coherently. There were also rounds of cross-examination, where we could challenge our opponents' arguments and defend our own.
One of the most memorable experiences I had in the Debate Club was when we participated in an inter-school debate competition. It was nerve-wracking to face off against other schools, but at the same time, it was incredibly exhilarating. Our team worked hard to prepare for the competition, and in the end, we managed to win second place.
Overall, my experience in the Debate Club was not only fun and rewarding, but it also taught me valuable skills such as critical thinking, public speaking, and teamwork. It was an unforgettable experience that helped me grow and improve in many ways.
